'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

I really hope I get to take my words to a butcher shop and prepare them for a nice steak dinner on NSD, but I just have zero belief that he is coming here. Feels like a longshot and that at the end of the day he is going to end up at tOSU along with Jones.

We will land Chandler though. Not a bad consolation prize.

We might be right up there with them right now, but I still believe when it comes down to it he will choose OSU. Just my own personal opinion. Like I said though, I would love to deep fry my words and eat them.

Chandler Coleman and a random last minute pickup is what we pickup IMO

I think it greatly depends on our season. If we perform like we should, then I think there is a very realistic chance we make it to the playoffs. That may sway Akers in our direction.

Definitely could if we do that well

I prefer both. They are certainly not mutually exclusive possibilities.

We likely go as far offensively as Hurd carries us on his shoulders (literally and figuratively). So, if he has a dynamite season, it's likely that our W-L reflects that....also I've been going back and watching games from the last two seasons...Hurd rarely fumbles....but when he does, catastrophic things happen. GA '14, OK '15, GA '15. Those are the only three fumbles I can recall him having.

A Tennessee RB with very few, but very poorly timed fumbles? I feel like I've heard this one before.

Still a legitimate shot at Akers, but the Vols have a lot of competition for him. Been hearing some buzz about Ole Miss and Ohio State recently, but I think Tennessee still believes it's right there at or near the top of his list.
