It happens. Missing a 3* corner isn't the end of the world. Obviously we waned this kid but obviously we wanted this one.
A kid making a decision other than what was expected isn't a massive failure. This kid isn't a program changer. He's not even one of the top 5 commits we will have in this class.
We've got to quit going off the deep end every time we miss a recruit. Especially when it's an out of state 3*.
Corker isn't helping them get any closer to being elite. I am from lexington; uk will always be a basketball school. Their football team will always be a middle of the road at best sec football program
This guy and the JUCO corner that went to Scar were both our top targets at CB. Losing the recruiting battle to teams like scar and UK is very concerning.
Well hopefully we are making the move the day after the bowl so we have time to fix the db class.
It is probably besides the lines the most important position this class and it hasn't been stellar this far.
This sums it upWhat is concerning about it? Bottom line is that Butch is gonna win enough next fall to get recruiting back to where it needs to be or he's gonna get axed. In the meantime we are gonna miss on some recruits. Some that are mid level.
Recruiting is just not gonna be great until the wins on the field add up. I just don't expect a lot between now and next December as far as recruiting. If he breaks through the ceiling then commits from more big time players will follow. If he doesn't then he will be receiving a monthly buyout check and we will hire again.
If he's committing to Kentucky over Tennessee this afternoon because Stoops offered the kid's cousin a scholly last minute, how can you blame this on the staff?
I'd be much more pissed if we offered a scrub a scholarship to get his 3* relative. JMO
