Yeah, yikes to a guy that's about to get drafted.

This...
People act like Justin Coleman did nothing but get beaten deep in his time here. You can't ignore the positive impact he had... he made some plays for us and developed into a good player. Just like a highlight reel doesn't tell the whole story about a player, just focusing on his bad moments doesn't tell the whole story either - you need to consider both.
I'm not saying I agree with the Phillips-Coleman comparison. I'm just pretty surprised by how negative the opinion of Coleman is on this site. He's the only Vol who is likely to get serious consideration for the upcoming draft this year, unless AJ is declared innocent in short order (and given the pace with which that ordeal has moved, that's looking unlikely).
Coleman was a solid player as a Senior. Not great by any means as he still got burnt a few times. Including Pharoah absolutely owning him all game. Prior to this year he was absolutely horrible.

Sorry Justin but you still suck. Good riddance.

You can't be serious... Drafted or not, good kid or not (and by all accounts he is a great young man), he got turned around by WR's more often than I care to remember.
And I don't see the Coleman/Phillips comparison.
True. That's why a lot of great track guys aren't great football players.

He played nickel most of the year and got burned there a lot. Some NFL teams (and we pretty much did last year) have a base nickel package. I wouldn't trust Justin there in the league just as I didn't trust him last year for us.Didn't coleman have 4 or 5 picks last year. I think he did better than most. Yea he's pretty bad in 1 vs 1 deep routes, but he wasn't bad in the nickel spot.
Prior to this year, Justin had zero ball skills. Not talking about interceptions and return yardage, but noticeably oblivious that the ball was in the air or how to interfere (legally) with the receiver catching the pass. He got picked on and burned. A couple of his picks this year, I could have caught.
BUT he improved in every facet, worked hard, stayed out of trouble, and helped this team win. I'm hoping he finds a niche in the league and makes us proud. And I think he will.
