"I just feel like right now is the time," Banks said. "I feel home at Tennessee and every time I've been there, they have made me feel like they want what's best for me." "He is a great coach," Banks said. "He is doing something special at Tennessee and I want to be a part of that. He cares about his players and that shows when you spend time around him."
"He is an exciting player," Sevier County head coach Steve Brewer said. "He's quick and runs hard. The times he carried the ball this year, his legs were always moving. I think he can put on more weight, but he's a tough kid. He's dangerous with the ball in his hands."
"I saw him improve a lot," Brewer said. "He came from a different offense and it took him a couple of games to trust his blocks. I started to notice him coming of age against Dobyns-Bennett. He came up big from that point on and he was at home. You could see his comfort level was growing with the more plays he made."
Added former Vol Buck Fitzgerald of the Nashville-based Playmakers Academy with whom Banks has previously trained and will seek to compete with on the 7-on-7 circuit beginning Sunday, "He has very good speed and change of direction."
