Way too many turnovers again. I know R.Jackson is out but Kelly needs to do something different. This is not working. When you got Dawn at S.C. and Kim at LSU, you got to recruit on their level.

I have spent a good deal of time in the Smokies and along the NC/Tenn border area chasing some nice trout over the years, you don’t always have to travel across the country to find them, the Smokies can do the trick if you know the area well. Merry Xmas friend.
I grew up there, that is where I leaned to fish. East TN and around Ashville have some nice places to fish. I want to go up the Blue Ridge Parkway and hit some streams.

To be fair...most folks don't care about women's b-ball anymore.
Why would you when they can't field a decent team? Duh? Why would you watch knowing they're going to lose? Not rocket science. Give us a coach that can make a team play as a team and recruit. Too much allegiance because they are VOL grads. Get the best coach available. period.

Yes let's do just that. Because hiring former LV players as coaches has gone SO well so far, let's hire TWO of them! One with limited coaching success, espec on offense, and one with zero coaching experience. Why didn't I think of that?
You're right, hiring former VOL players is not the answer. Go after the best coach period wherever they are. Win & they will come. Unfortunately, it's a sad program now.

yes,,,no one is upset about how tonight went
no one is posting,,,nothing but stillness and silence

To be fair, replace "most folks" with "I"

And by the way, if you don't care about women's b-ball ,,,why are you on a women's BB fan site 4 hours after the game?

Coach Harper needs to be replaced period. The Lady Vols basketball team has been reduced to one of the worst teams in the SEC and shows no signs of improvement. Coach Harper has not been able to recruit players that compete either...out of the last 3 years of the top 100 of HoopsGurlz splayers he was able to recruit only one player who came to Tennessee,...played an average of some 3 or 4 minutes per game with no success and left the team after two years. Coach Harper has done absolutely nothing in her time at Tennessee to reduce turnovers....in the Ohio State game today the LV had 15 turnovers in the first 3 quarters and Ohio State had scored some 16 points off those turnovers. last season there were three games with 27 turnovers...you do not win games with those kind of numbers. It is now obvious that Harper is not going to get the job done at Tennessee and needs to be replaced. Kara Lawson has now had coaching experience at Duke and would be a good replacement and by adding Timika Cataching as an assistant. Out of 8 games this season, the LV are 4-4 and will end up losing many more games too.
One of the worst teams in the sec? You may not look at numbers, but coach Harper actually has the second highest winning percentage in the SEC over the last 5 years. Lawson had a team filled with 5 star players a year ago and was done in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

I watched about 7 minutes of it and I could tell it was a waste of time. The 3-point bombs started and didn't even try to get under the basket for awhile. I had better things to do than watch them self-destruct.
That's about 3 more minutes than I could stand to watch the debacle. Turnovers, shot selection, etc. just pathetic.

Mentally and Physically we were not a match for this team. Our basketball IQ seems to not be there. Too many slow footed defenders on the floor at the same time.On a good note, TK had a great game and Hollingshed look good at the 4. I am still not sure TK enjoys playing basketball.

This was my other note from the game! It was so horrific I blocked out a lot, but Jill really started to click once TK came back on the court. I’m a big believer in Hollingshed’s ability, and I’d like for her to prove my delusions right.

The most alarming things I saw were players appearing to be totally confused as to what they were running (and at least once seemed to be arguing), players looking worried (or resigned) while plenty of time left, and...worst of all...players appearing to quit on plays and conceding points and rebounds to OSU. Just looked like a beaten bunch in disarray in late going hoping the time would run out faster.

We've seen that before, and the staff has their work cut out to restore the team's shaken confidence. Hate to say it, but some of this may be residual effect of trying to integrate so many transfers in. Lack of familiarity on court, understandable resentment from previous players losing positions, not coming up through the ranks together, having to play out of position...just a lot to process. The jury is still out on the long-term effects of the portal experiment.

The weeks ahead are crucial if the team is going to have a successful season and the program is going to rebound. Kellie overcame a really tough start in her final season at Mo State to end up winning her conference and giving Stanford a scare in Mo State's Sweet Sixteen run. I always thought Kellie's coaching strength was as a motivator, so the current problems are extremely concerning, as is the lack of a freshman class.

I know people on here think players don’t do any wrong. But I think we need more competitive players that have fire, it’s like certain players go through the motions and don’t care if they win or lose. I like players that absolutely hate losing and will fight until the end. Even post game press conferences it’s nothing but the same thing said after every loss. Only thing that can salvage the season is Rickea coming back and averages around 30 a night. Next year they need to let certain players go and get new players that will fit the bill from what I’ve said. This is about winning championships and not being nice and smiling all the time, I could go on but I’ll stop for now.

Y'all need to get off the Lawson bandwagon.

Only two questions.

1. Why are the “starters” the starters esp in half two when they weren’t playing well?

2. Why are 3 SENIOR CAREER 39%+ 3pt shooters shooting so poorly?
Tess- 26%
Des- 6%
Jewell- 32%

I’ve started noticing that when we get open 3 point looks, the shooter usually isn’t in any kind of rhythm, meaning they aren’t running off a screen or stepping into a shot. They’re usually just standing flat footed when they catch the ball. Maybe our 3-point specialists need more movement in the offense…

Whatever the case, it’s up to the HC to fix it. And fast!
