'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

"Kentucky has been pushing hard, especially since Bajakian left. That, combined with Tennessee taking three quarterbacks in 2015, has him looking around. I will try and catch up with him this week to see where things are. It's also worth keeping in mind that Austin's older brother is a walk on at Kentucky."

Had hoped he would stick. Kid is a huge talent and can sling it with the best of them.

He was by some accounts the #1 guy on the board before he committed to Florida. I think he's the most dynamic of the 3, best combination of speed, arm, and talent. However Jauan's improvement from year 1 to year 2 at QB has been very impressive. He seems to be smart with the football and is probably the most athletic and I think has the biggest arm of the 3. His potential is huge. Then we got Dormady who seems like a good competitor, I think he will surprise a lot of people with his readiness to take the back-up role. Going to be fun to see it all piece together once fall rolls around. Also will be nice to get a glimpse of Jauan in the Spring game.

A * gazer? Not you too Eazy! LOL

Lol you know my thoughts on this subject. Its not everything but star rankings do matter to a degree. Obviously, a staff's scouting should be the tops but there's a direct correlation between recruiting rankings and wins. That's not even truly debatable.

Guys behind the scenes like Bob Welton are very important in the scouting department. That's CBJ's right hand man regarding all things recruiting.

I think it's clear that Butch may have a process for development and progression, but he intends to build championship depth now rather than gradually. Hopefully the kids/recruits embrace it and things pick up steam in a hurry. Afterall, no coach stands at the podium at their first press conference says "we're here to have the happiest top 5 signing class in the country every year" .

Bob is an instrumental figure in the success of recruiting for this staff. He's one of the best.

I agree that Jennings is the wildcard at QB. I still think he's got a brighter future at safety but his recent improvement at QB is undeniable.

I think Dormady is a very good prospect but I do wonder just how effective he will be in this offense after seeing the night and day difference between Worley/Dobbs. He's got decent speed for a pocket QB but nowhere near the wheels of Dobbs, Jones or Jennings.

Jones may be a bit of a higher bust risk than Dormady but his potential in this offense is through the roof imo. He's raw but he has a very good arm and is electric with the ball in his hands. I love his attitude too. Two other QB's in the class and they're beating him on campus and Jones still didn't care.

Yeah, I heard that he and Butch spend at least an hour or more every day going over recruiting and scouting. Seems like he's the #1 guy in the background letting CBJ know who to go after.
