Fahr Butch!

This won't be popular, but you really can't reasonably judge Butch's coaching or recruiting until his recruits have matured. Since his first year of recruiting was mostly reactionary, you can't really know until the '14 class are juniors. I vote that we have this discussion after the '16 season...And my money is on Butch having silenced his critics by then.

I said in the very short time Butch has been here. Butch did recruit several 3* players for the 2013 class after he was hired. I never said or implied that Butch and staff were not doing a good job. I also never said anyone was a "failure". I was quoting another poster on the fact that in general every where there are more 3* players that never pan out then those that are true difference makers like Cam Sutton.

I agree and there is nothing wrong with 3* players even if they don't become elite type players they can still make solid contributions to a team.

Not dogging you, but I read it the same way he did. May not be a comprehension thing at all, could just be that our brains did not read it the same way your brain thought it was being written. We can't read what words you were putting your inflections on.

Just a thought........or maybe I'm just stupid.

Don't care about stars. Caliber of offers is a big thing. Florida and Michigan wanted this kid which are some nice offers. This isnt a project like Bruce either. Those guys don't even count against butch anyways. By using a blue shirt you get a longer evaluation period to look at fringe prospects like him. If blakely isn't good enough or looks questionable we'll upgrade like always. Kid looks very fast with a great frame to get bigger.

How exactly am I or anyone else to take the statement "in the very short time Butch has been here there have been more 3* failures then successes"?

That must mean we definitely didn't want him since we accepted his commitment with Hart and Bituli as a tweener already on board in a small class. The fact we didn't tweet MUST say more than that

I noticed this too and don't think it should be overlooked. The staff never misses a chance pump up our class. I think we only take 2 LBs of the 3 we have "committed" right now.

Good thing fall camp starts in less than two days because you guys have way too much free time. Worrying bout stars, class numbers and tweets.
