All i need to do is watch foremans game film and know that a game saving fumble doesnt make you an elite nickel.

internet know it alls blowing hard today haha.

fact check the game film

i guess i should add that im just still bitter about the florida loss... while you guys were blaming coaching.. i was too busy wondering why #13 was blowing another assignment...

I agree bb he has progressed however I do believe biggest reason for improvement is less talented offenses.

I'm sure there's some merit to that, but Pharoah Cooper would be a starting WR for anybody in the SEC and Foreman and Moseley were both struggling vs Bowling Green's 2nd and 3rd WR's at one point.

I just said I appreciated his effort but we need a solution for nickel. Hopefully gaulden.. Or a recruit. Foreman isn't elite was my point. Elite is what wins championships like I said before that "Bama isn't elite at nickel" argument.

i wonder how he did against arkansas

One tackle, one PBU, per UT site. My game day notes don't show him getting burnt badly in the last 6-7 games. Wish I could say the same thing for Moseley. :ermm: Martin >> Moseley IMO.

Foreman is doing just fine. It'll be fun watching him & Gaulden compete for a starting job next year.

Did your notes fall asleep on the only touchdown thrown last week...

It's obvious you feel strongly about this...why do you have to be such a reproductive organ whilst expressing your opinion? :glare:

I'm not going to be blindly optimistic about 2 star secondary players being beat more times than not. He's cost us at least two games and he's been burned more times than I can remember. My strong feeling is please recruit some more studs so we can be back with the elite. that and stay healthy which is out of everyone's hands.

I like our chances here regardless, but there seems to be a little more chatter than years past about Kirby Smart making a move. Would that seal the deal?

As good as Malik Foreman has played, with Gaulden in the line up and a healthy Maggitt, we are a one loss team. Maybe even undefeated. The affect of those two injuries were huge. Maggitt, not just because of his own production and leadership, but because teams can chip on Barnett. That being said, Foreman and Vereen really stepped up in their place as the season went on, and you can see the team's improvement on defense because of that. Justin Martin has played well. Next man up.

We're not undefeated partially because we don't have someone who has pretty much only played special teams in a college game?

It used to be a starter went down and we just simply had no answer. Foreman and Vereen are examples from this staff of keeping guys ready and keeping them hungry.

I have so much more faith in his staff this year compared to last at this same time. And that's kind of a "no s___" comment but it's s good sign.

Foreman got developed to this level of play. Had he been playing like this early on and we started Martin we would be undefeated.

Valid point. I'm basing my assumption of what we have heard from camp on Gaulden. Still, I think it is safe to say that his loss was impactful considering he had the starting nickelback spot locked up from the get go. There was no question who was going to be our starting nickel. Maggitt clearly is a big loss.
