Defensive alpha dog
Nigel Warrior out of Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge was a no-brainer here. In fact, Warrior was a unanimous selection among the 247Sports analysts in attendance. The 5-11, 188-pound safety was all over the football and no defender had the kind of impact that Warrior had on the event. He had six interceptions, numerous pass breakups and showed all kinds of range.
Because Warrior isn't a big, overpowering safety, he's a guy we want to see show up in this setting. We couldn't have asked for anything more than what he showed. He's got the ability to roll down into man coverage if needed but where he would consistently flash was when anything was thrown beyond the second level. He would hawk those balls down consistently and make quarterbacks pay for taking shots.
Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama are among the schools that are favorites right now to land the Tennessee legacy.
