'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

I stand by my asteroid theory on Feaster. Everyone likes their visits here.

Just in case I think we need to locate these guys seeing as though Feaster liked his visit enough to suggest that Tennessee and Clemson are tied.

Per Rob Cassidy

Carlin Fils-Aime is on the verge of making his decision. He hasn't set an exact date or a time, nor does he intend to hold some ceremony at his high school. All the Naples (Fla.) High School running back knows for now is that he's ready to wrap things up.
The wheres and whens are still a bit unsettled, but an announcement is coming in short order.

Running back Carlin Fils-Amie plans to make a verbal commitment within the week.
"I'm going to have a commitment by Aug. 1," Fils-Aime said. "I'd like to do it by August first for sure. I will probably just tell me coach or something. It's not going to be a big thing."

Fils-Amie lists his finalists from memory. And while not all of them have an equal shot at landing him, he decides to be inclusive when it comes to naming the programs still in the running to land his commitment.

"Tennessee, Auburn, Miami and North Carolina," he says. "That's it, really. Just those."

With somewhat recent visits to Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee now in the rear view, Fils-Aime reflects on what he saw while attempting to avoid tipping his hand. If his mind is made up, the three-star running back masks that fact well.

"At Auburn I connected with one of the players really, really well," Fils-Amie said. "His name was Kerryon Johnson. He and I got along well. I can see he and I becoming brothers if I go there. With Tennessee, those coaches asked me what my favorite play was, and they lined up and ran the play with me. That was fun. All of the coaches know that I like crazy socks and everything, so all of the coaches there were wearing crazy socks when I got there. That was cool. That really stood out to me."

After missing the majority of last season with an injury to his left ankle, Fils-Amie was back to full strength in his team's late-may spring scrimmage, which saw the three-star prospect run for 150 yards and four touchdowns.

Wherever he lands I think this kid is going to blow up this year. Sounds like Auburn but it wouldn't surprise me for him to pick UT.

If the coaches think we have any sort of shot with Feaster I think he goes Barn. We told Feaster that he would be the only RB we take this year. It wouldn't be a good move if a week after telling him that we take another back. I am thinking Barn or maybe UM.

CFA has now said that he will announce August 1st. Top teams, Tn, AU, Miami, and UNC.

Watch for Miami here, Amir Rasul decommitted (headed to FSU) and Miami likely will make a push. Never count out AU especially since checks are normally cut for them at the first of the month.

You called this one. UM and Rusty were sure Dawns had flipped him.

Imo, emmons, feaster, walker and fils'aime are the lone elite backs in the class. I just want one of them lol.

How does the staff handle CFA with his talk of committing soon if they told Feaster that he'd be the only back they would take if he came here?

You take CFA no questions asked. Kid is an amazing back.and one of only about four in this class. So no way you wait imo.

Tough one to call. Both are studs. Feaster is unreal. CFA is very good. I honestly have no clue and I would hate to be the coaches on this situation. I guess you could look at like you couldn't go wrong with either one :dunno:

His runs in an offense with great blocking. On some of those long touchdowns he never gets touched....

Why should that be held against him? The same thing happens in Feaster's tape. He ran over or through as many people he outran on that film

I don't think it's us "taking" him as much as it should sound more like we'd "get" him. Yall make it sound like he's a Rocky Reid reach. He's not. He's one of our top 3 RB targets. You can't bank on Feaster at all. Recruiting and slow playing kids is all about risk vs reward. Getting CFA to commit would be absolutely huge for this class.

Keep in mind he missed a ton of time last season with a bad ankle. He will only go up from here, in terms of his stock.

I feel like CFA to Aub, Holyfield to UGA, Feaster sticks with CU and we get a rb that no one talks a lot about but will be viewed as the next Barry Sanders to many on here. Bury me
