He's a lot of things but a Catholic priest isn't one

I can't decide which one he is....

From an ESPN article so TIFWIW.

Stidham will be Baylor's next star QB
Jarrett Stidham (Stephenville, Texas/Stephenville) has thrown for 22 touchdowns and more than 1,800 yards this season, helping him climb all the way to the No. 24 spot in the ESPN Junior 300. Despite being heavily courted by everybody and anybody, the connection with Art Briles, who won four state championships as a coach at Stephensville, will be too tough to pass up. He'll look at Texas. He'll look at A&M. He might even entertain Oregon's offer. But in the end, he'll follow in the footsteps of Robert Griffin III and Bryce Petty and flourish in the Bears' high-octane passing attack.

247 Listed Offers:

  • Baylor - President committed for '15
  • Kentucky - Barker committed for '14
  • Ok St - Horrible pub and possible NCAA sanctions
  • The other UT - Brown bout to get canned
  • A&M - Allen committed for '14
  • The other TTU - Who?
  • That leaves the real UT

Hopefully it really plays out like the above post from Brillovol. There is also this piece on A&M in regards to their '15 QB recruiting.

Murray will be the next Johnny Football
No offense to 2014 Texas A&M commit Kyle Allen, but it will be 2015 quarterback/athlete Kyler Murray (Allen, Texas/Allen) who will earn the most comparisons to Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel. Murray, the nation's No. 47 junior, hasn't committed to A&M yet, but it seems like just a matter of time. His father, Kevin, played quarterback for the Aggies from 1983-86, and despite high interest from Texas Tech, Texas, Clemson and Ohio State, he'll eventually head to College Station. A&M fans will fall in love with Murray's play for all the reasons they love Johnny Football. He's got similar size, a quick release, running ability when the pocket breaks down and, most importantly, he's ultra-confident in his abilities.

We need an elite quarterback so, so, so, so, so bad. I wish we'd take one for the 2014 class but if we can land this guy it might be OK.

While in Texas look for Jones to stop by the school of quarterback Jarrett Stidham. This past season's was Stidham's first season as a starting quarterback and his season got off somewhat slow before he really picked it up during the second half of the season and the Vols are certainly a team interested in Stidham.

And remember, Stidham is a native of Kentucky who visited Tennessee this summer while traveling through the Bluegrass State to see his family so there's a prior relationship as the Vols saw him throw when he was on campus.
