'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

Hahaha debating with people like you is pointless. Keep believing that depth is a mythical concept that you don't really need in order to succeed. And that every kid who transfers is strictly due to PT. Hendrix said he didn't like the coaches and how they talked to players if that's an excuse that makes him look weak more than leaving for PT IMO.

What a puss. Bye.

Lady's opinion- Kyles tweet might be in reference to the bowl game about to start- and I think Ugos statement is in reference to Tennessee he has been touting this whole he is going with me deal and now that might be in jeopardy he sounded a little huffy in that quote to me- feeling a little more hopeful now about Phillips....

Looked as though K Mac was with him the past couple of days, even taking photos, but this looks to be a done deal.... but why would he post this if he is going to "announce"? If he waits to announce during the game and its LSU, everyone will simply yawn and say whateva, you already told us.... zero suspense. He Vol.

I think that quote was about Ole Miss. It doesn't make much sense for him to say that about a school in his final two today. It makes more sense that its about the school he decommited from and eliminated

It's about UT. Phillips is surrounded by people recruiting him for UT right now.

Chavis may not even be at LSU by next year. I would almost guarantee that has been pointed out.

LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis being heavily pursued by Texas A&M | NOLA.com

The sources said Chavis, 58, would get a raise of about $400,000 per year from Texas A&M, paying him $1.7 million annually on a three-year deal. Chavis' current contract with LSU expires at the end of December, and he was reportedly offered a three-year, $4 million extension earlier this month. The offer did not include a significant raise.

I do understand that kids transfer, it's just usually not so many, so early in a career. Most give it 2-3 years and realize I haven't played and I'm not going to.

So in your mind losing 5 DE's in a year is no big deal?

Sure we do on some of them like Hendrix and Henderson, but the ones that were just class fillers from 2013 were always gonna leave. As far as it being unusual... It's very normal. In the first couple of years of a rebuild and taking huge classes it happens. Bamer and Saban lost 8+ his first year from his first class.

Yeah it's Joejuan Williams. Heard a lot of Vandy chatter for that guy though and their recruiting accounts on Twitter have him as a lock /blue font

Joejuan wont go to vandy. Surely he's smarter than that. After derek mason goes 6-18 over 2 yrs and get canned he won't choose to go to Vandy.

I think I realize that. Depth isn't helped by the loss of players either. I don't consider a SO Hendrix as ideal, quality depth. But I do consider a SO Hendrix over a FR Butcher as better depth and a combo of both would be even nicer.

You and I do feel that way but the kid doesn't care about being depth. He could stay and eventually start and even develop and be drafted. But so many kids these days want instant results. Barnett was able to produce that and Hendrix wants to be that guy now instead of working and getting there eventually. I think if he stayed he would. He still might somewhere else but road will be just as long if going to Juco. He is not a RB like AK so will be harder to do as quickly if he goes JUCO.

LSU reporters saying he is gone

Saw the same on a few Texas sites, no solid outlets yet that I've seen in the past few seconds but I think he will be gone as well. LSU obviously isn't going any higher since that contract has been in front of him for some time and A&M is willing to do whatever it takes. His family isn't in Louisiana so it's just him moving.

"I was serious before he left ... but I don't know how they've brain washed his mind. I can only do so much."[/QUOTE]

Maybe Ugo just heard about Chief to A@M , and this was his response...lol
