'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

Guess you didn't read Hendrix's interview upon leaving where he said it had nothing to do with PT.

Or the rumors that Scott was upset with Butch about the circle of life drill and homesick and is now transferring to ECU which is 45 min from his hometown. Which kind of validates those rumors. Scott was out hurt 75% of the year doubt he has a reason to be upset with PT.

Helm didn't adjust to the college atmosphere after being homeschooled, that was mentioned by VQ or 247 guys. So none

And all 3 of them were getting very little playing time behind stud freshmen that they clearly were never gonna beat out for playing time..... Hendrix and Barnett; Scott and Hurd; Helm and Wolf

It was hinted Scott was mutual. I think the coaches were underwhelmed with how he was once he got on campus. As for others, if Butch is helping find them a school, it was mutual. Same thing happened with Jabo Lee.

Lol. I did see the interview. You think kids are just gonna come out and say, "Yeah, I'm transferring because I'm not as good as the other freshman in front of me and I know I'll never start, so I'm just gonna transfer." Have you ever heard of an excuse? Apparently not. Wolf started and will start for the next three years, Helm would've never started. Scott, thanks for pointing out the fact he was hurt, I think we all knew that, but you think he really thought he'd ever play with a Fr Jalen Hurd starting over him and a 5* juco RB coming in. Keep kidding yourself. Hendrix is the same story. Derek Barnett is a all star, 10 sacks, 20 tfl, started the whole year. He wasn't going to start next year with Barnett, maggit, and Vereen.

Keep believing the excuses these kids come out and say, but I know they saw the writing on the wall and realized they weren't good enough to play.

Phillips is a stud and I do hope we get him. It's such a great luxury to recruit guys like Walker and Phillips knowing that you have Taylor and Butcher already. Taylor has elite athleticism and Butcher has the look, plus his production was undeniably good. That being said, I'd just rather have Phillips over Walker, even if our chances don't look great. I would love getting Walker, at the very least, because he is a Georgia kid with a UGA offer. I have full confidence in Butch, so should be fun.

Helm was hurt, Scott was hurt, but don't let facts get in the way. And I forgot we only play one SDE and one RB all game. Do people like you really think that if a kid's not a starter that they never play?

Hahaha debating with people like you is pointless. Keep believing that depth is a mythical concept that you don't really need in order to succeed. And that every kid who transfers is strictly due to PT. Hendrix said he didn't like the coaches and how they talked to players if that's an excuse that makes him look weak more than leaving for PT IMO.

I am not debating with your salient point that losing this many at once is a bad sign. I am not sure what I believe as far as the transfers go. I tend to forget about guys who leave because they are not here and we have to move on with who we have. I did want to point out that Hendrix later tweeted that his remarks about how coaches talk to players was taken out of context and that he had no problems with the current coaching staff.

Depth isn't created by one class, thats where people are misinformed. Saban's first class had 16 out of 32 leave the program. More than 8 ( I stopped counting) left after one year. 2 of those transfers were 5 stars along with 11 4 stars. Only 3 transfers were 3 star or lower
