I'm not denying that, but chasing an out of state prospect due to a hunch of making an immediate impact is silly.. The in state talent has became better especially in the misstate. That's what I was saying BOT.. I agree with your post considering our luck in the memphis area

I wont let you down easy.... Nor will I say where Kyle is going.... You know why? Because he does not know where he is going yet. We spoke today about some concerns. But overall he has not made a college choice as of yet. I say with all honesty, I want what is best for him. However I want him on the Hill. I want to address a comment I read here on VN. The particular one about the "boss" ran into Kyle's dad at a gas station and said LSU 60/40 UT... I will say those are false numbers. And as far as him and Ugo.... Well, lets just say 17 yr olds on twitter.

Are you implying in your last statement that this whole package deal thing is just a game that 17 year olds are playing on Twitter? I ask because I'm starting to think Ugo is using the package deal with Phillips as a means to get a spot in LSU's class, but then Phillips ends up somewhere different, hopefully TN. The relationship between Phillips and Perry is never talked about, yet they also said that they would play at the same school together. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

Staff allegedly did not recruit Ugo very hard in beginning of recruiting process due to size. Changed course and picked up recruitment big time in the fall.

(At least this is the VN rumor)

He said on multiple occasions that we were his favorite. Then, out of the blue, he committed to Ole Miss. From the outside looking in, it seemed like we turned him away. Just speculation though as far as I know.

I think quite a few quotes from Ugo would point towards we slow played him at first then tried to get back in on him. That initial first impression and the fact that LSU is selling him on being the next honey badger is too much to over come.

dont get me wrong kid is a playa, but, if he doesnt want to come to TN then theres obviously other players id rather have. who are just as good, D Andre Walker is 1

very level headed illustration. if anyone has followed this kids recruitment thus far theyd see how close he keeps his cards to his chest. that comes from coaching. doesnt his mom work at Vandy? or am i confused?

Yup confused. She is the AD for TSU. Go to their website and read her Bio it's pretty impressive.

My question is there some disconnect between the staff and the mother for some reason? According to one of the quotes by Phillips, it seemed she favored LSU over UT which is really surprising to me considering the distance difference.

Nah, I think Phillips will make his own decision. As much as I would hate it if he chose LSU, I would at least consider him man enough to choose his own college instead of allowing someone else to make his decision for him. I think him knowing Ugo definitely is a factor but I don't think it's that big a deal.

A family member is gonna let the word slip and possibly ruin the moment because they feel bad for people they have never met before and have no obligation to? Lemme know how that one works out for ya.
