Note to Kyle Phillips and Volnation -

I have been watching UT football for 50 years. There is something special going on there right now that I have never seen before, and I have seen plenty of really good teams! It is hard to describe. I see a group of good players who really bonded with each other and enjoy spending time with each other off the field. I see players who love their coaches, and vice versa. I see this team heading for the top and getting there quickly. I grew up in Tennessee and graduated from UT, and there is no place like it. Let's enjoy this ride and take part in it!

In other words Farrell is saying "there's a good chance Phillips goes to Lsu...unless be decides to go to TN, in which case there's a good chance he may decide not to go to Lsu and go to TN instead...but we'll just have to see how it all plays out. "

Should know in a few weeks, some of it might end up being how soon the Miles thing is over with.

I always give the home state the edge.

It must be a little daunting for some DE prospects to come in and be compared to Barnett. Not saying it is daunting to Phillips but might be to some.

Could Phillips be a silent to the staff? I don't think they would have part ways with Jackson that easily if they didn't like their chances with Phillips. Of course I'm just guessing but it's just a thought.

I think this commitment will show what kind of kid Kyle is... Also what does it say about a school when the application process is a joke... Sorry about the random post but just thought I would give my two cents and update everyone. Can't wait for Kyle to be a Vol! Brick by Brick!

This probably has more to do with UTs ridiculous academic bureaucracy rather than the difficulty of getting in. Anyone who went to UT experienced the Big Orange Screw at some point.
