It is still frustrating having Hendrix leave. I feel like he would have been good with some experience. I hope Sawyers doesn't leave too...
We had a great visit with TN today.... LSU is in the picture.... But so is UT and Ole Miss....no commit to anyone as of now.... My aunt had a great time also..... I really like coach Thig...We (TN) are in good shape....The OV was good overall....!
Phillips - From everyone I've talked to Tennessee had a great weekend with him and his mother. This is really coming down to Tennessee and LSU. Tennessee has to keep grinding here. I think he's very comfortable with Tennessee and his mother seems to be growing even more comfortable. I think it's trending well for Tennessee but Phillips hasn't made a decision so there's still a long ways to go.
Kyle and his mom very truly impressed. If I had to decide today I would say Vols. The staff presented Kyle as of today and Kyle at the end of four years. They had charts concerning his body changes and his academic progress. The indicated that he and Barnett could have a private meeting 4 to 5 times per game in the opponents backfield each game..LOL. The mid-state players were working him very hard..As for most visits we must let the newness wear off. His mom was very, very impressed. LSU will not give up and OM is still trying to get back in the race. Coach Chavis is working the mom hard and he his resume for producing DL talent is a factor. This is a good kid making a hard decision. The distance and his moms tight professions schedule as AD is truly in Vols favor. She can attend a day game at TSU and get to Knoxville for a night game easier than LSU.
This is very interesting to me, considering that Kirkland just moved his announcement up from that game to today. Any chance there's a connection with the 2 events?
Just added my 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast for Tennessee regarding Nashville (Tenn.) Hillsboro Top247 defensive end Kyle Phillips, who announced Monday that he'll make his college decision at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan 3.
In talking to a source with knowledge of the situation, Phillips had a great visit to Knoxville this past weekend.
The Vols went into Phillips official visit already the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite.
How about this defensive line Tennessee may sign in 2015!
Two five-stars in the boat already in defensive tackles Kahlil McKenzie and Shy Tuttle. On the edge, Phillips would join two other four-star defensive ends in Darrell Taylor and Andrew Butcher along with another talent in Marques Ford. Another four-star committed up front is defensive tackle Quay Picou, as Tennessee plans on dominating defensively on the line of scrimmage for many years to come.
