I've been reluctant to say this as well, but yea i agree with you. He looked like a fish out of water but maybe that was the game plan. Maybe they knew Oakland would cover their receivers so well that it would open up a lot of running lanes and it was just all part of the plan.
I'd like to see him just drop back and throw a guy open.
I thought he made plays, and looked DARN good with the ball in his hands..
while he was running.
Other than that he looked like he didn't belong back there. So stiff, almost robot'ish as if he were concentrating too hard on mechanics. Playing like that will get you hurt, you have to let the game come to you and play with fluidity. Hopefully that changes, but if he still looks like that 10 games into the season I highly doubt he will ever take a snap in a game as QB.
In other words, why force a good thing? Play where you can make plays and not have to force things. He is dynamic for sure, and I think he could play any number of positions. I'd personally like to see him going up and catching passes with his range. JMO though.
