'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

So what do we do against Matthews next week? Cam on him all game plus who to help?

Let's see how he does this week against a team with a defense. I will be there watching vs Oakland. Was not impressed when watching his QB play earlier in season.

Nice info. So do we want this kid as a 2015 QB, then? Sounds like that's what he wants to play, but I was under the impression we were gunning for an elite Top 5 QB in the 2015 cycle.

Personally, I think we recruit him, but I doubt he's our top QB on the board in 2015. I think this staff is capable of snagging a top 5 national QB. If we don't take one this year, which is still very much a possibilty, then I think getting a top QB next year is a must.

Should be a great game. Lost 9-3 last time and he appeared to be trying to do too much and ended up fumbling a couple of times. Get there early! A lot of college athletes on the field, at least 4 UT targets by my count plus many others.

Oh, believe me, I have no doubts in our staff's ability to recruit a top 5 guy - at this point, I'm pretty convinced Butch Jones and Tommy Thigpen could recruit the Taliban to join the Peace Corp - I just didn't know if we were planning to offer Jennings as a QB as well. I'm sure we'll recruit him, I just don't know what for yet.

Talked to him the other day and he said that the fans were crazy in Knox, and the stadium is unbelievable! He really enjoyed his visit

On the field....line judge

Help me clear up an argument I had, then since you are a line judge. I thought that in high school, an offsides is called immediately upon a defensive player breaking the neutral zone. The other guy says he has time to get back. Which one is it?:whistling:

As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, I would like for the record to reflect that I don't want no stinkin' Taliban in my beloved Corps!

Let the record reflect that Mr. Highspeed does not feel the Taliban belongs in the Peace Corp.

That being said, it was mean more as a statement about the recruiting prowess of Butch Jones and the Rocky Top Boys. No disrespect intended! :salute:

You are correct!! Once either side breaks the neutral zone, the whistle should blow.

"One for the Commandant! One for the Corps! I guess the Corps don't get theirs'."

JJ having a rough night. Everyone is in this rain. Blackman leads 2-0 at the half over Oakland.

That was rough. Good news for VN.... Jack Jones is a beast. I focused on him most of the game. He knows how to finish blocks.

Yep, I completely trust our staff's evaluations now. I know we will miss and bust on a few here and there, but that one was a head scratcher offering and taking his commitment so early. They saw something in him. He has gotten so much better over the course of the year. I can't wait to see how much better he'll get with one more year of development.

Kind of the same situation with Jauan. He will grow and improve so much over the next 12 months.
