IF he decides to commit to UT shortly after his visit, I hope he shuts it down. Having your possible future QB "committed" but still looking does not work out so well when it comes to helping recruit for the future. If he is not sure and or wants to take more trips, I hope he waits.

I firmly believe he will shut it down if he commits to us. He is looking for his one school , and wants to be able to focus on his last year of highschool. And probably start getting a workout plan and some tutelage from CBJ and CMB. I don't see him shopping his services at all. If he gets that feeling that he is looking for when he visits, plus knowing CBJ and CMB have made trips all the way out to see him multiple times and before all his other big offers came, it'll be over.

If he commits and Riley or Dobbs win the job and have a really nice season he may look around. But that goes back to, "how competitive do you want your players?"

With a red shirt, Dobbs wouldn't be much of an issue to him.

I hope all of this optimism doesn't turn back and bite us. Y'all have me excited with these predictions. Anybody know how he has spoken of other schools compared to UT?

I think it's funny that most of you saying deliberating when he will commit are also the ones who say that Butch has control over when they commit. Based on that premise there's no telling, amirite?

I would say, IMO, most are saying he commits shortly after his visit...because they think Butch would let him commit right away. Under the premise that having a QB early on aids the recruiting process.

Most think, that with Butch, he has people commit at certain times to keep/ gain momentum and chatter. But when it comes to QBs, the best time for a commitment is ASAP.

I say that to say this...A commitment shortly after his visit would fit nicely with the way some of us think Butch "dictates" when players commit.

Yes, we have to have enough recruits left in the Fall, so one can commit after each lost game.:)

Yes.. that was the concensus last year with multiple kids stating "I've basically been committed for a couple months/weeks (whatever) but just wanted to wait on the right moment."

I believe the only situation where the gun was jumped was with the Berrys, only because there was so much anxiety around their recruitment (for reasons unknown).

So stop SYH, evereetin's gon be aareeeeeee. :thumbsup:

Didn't the Berrys commit on their birthday? So they probably had been committed for a while and just waiting for the right moment lol
