'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

I'm trying to curb my enthusiasm... I sure would love to see UT land a great quarterback and bring one of the last big pieces of the puzzle in for the next few years. But it is always a gamble, and really, how many times do we get disappointed? It's hard not to be mildly pessimistic.

I understand what you're saying historically but under Bucth Jones not so much. We had one qb in our pocket when he took the job and he went out last minute and added Dobbs. We didn't get one in our 14 class but it doesn't appear that it was a priority....and imo shouldn't have been.

Right now it seems like we have several qb's that are very much interested in us. The kind that in years past we'd fell all over ourselves for but this year we're gonna have to say no thanks to.

On when he plans to shut it down and if the visit to Knoxville could trigger it...

“Quarterbacks usually commit early, so, after I go on my visits, I’m going to sit down and analyze everything,” he said. “And it could be as soon as May or June. I don’t see it going through the end of the summer.”

He didn’t rule out the possibility that his visit to Tennessee could cause him to make an early decision.

“Maybe. We’ll see,” Gentry said. “Somewhere along the way, I think it might depend upon how everything feels. Usually, people get a gut feeling somewhere on a good visit. We’ll just see what happens. Tennessee is the first place that I’m actually visiting, so if I get a strong feeling there, there’s no telling.”

Sounds like a Vol to me. You know his visit is going to be Bonkerz. Please pull that trigger homie

I agree, he sounds really impressed with UT and he hasn't even been here yet. It's usually the other way around, because sleezeballs like Mike Gundy usually paint Knoxville in a horrible light and then a kid visits, and he's like "WHAAA? This is awesome, totally different from what i was told"

Gentry will commit on or soon after his visit. At least in my opinion, I think he will. This will really start the ball rolling getting this guy on board. I'm stoked about Gentry! He's going to be a good one!

I hope he does jump on board after his visit. Want to get our QB early. This is the guy I've wanted the most at QB from the begin inning so needless to say I will be very happy if we end up getting him.
