'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

"I'm going to talk to my dad a little more about it, but I think I'm going to try to get out to Tennessee for sure, and Oklahoma State. Those are some teams that offered me a while back that I'm interested in. I'm trying to figure it out, but want to try to get in three trips this spring. I think that's all we can do. Alabama is definitely a strong possibility for that."

"I think that with my style of play, I like to sit in the pocket and throw. I think that I can pull it down and run a little bit, so ideally I'd like to do that a little. I'd say I'm more of a pro-style quarterback who could run the zone read."

When do you plan to commit?

"I think for sure before this next season. Whether that's two months from now, or August, I'm not completely sure. I think that when it feels right, it feels right. It could be as early as May or as late as August I think."

not sure when Butch will tell him to go ahead and pull the trigger?

I would be very, very happy if Butch lands this young man. Really enjoyed watching his highlights. This apple will be easy to polish.

Okie State just got a commitment from another QB. They also took 1 last year. Maybe Zach to UT just got a little more likely.

Agree. Ideal situation if you ask me. Not taking one in the last class should be enticement for potentially two years or more of starts.

Zach Seems like the most likely choice for us early at QB. I'd take him now and wait to see if we can get in on a late riser if we have room later.

Stidham committed to TTech.

Gibson's skills in question.

Need to send this kid an entire case of hot sauce laced peanut butter.

Nah, those kids didn't get ran off, they just transferred for more PT. Big difference..

I'm sure Saban was chanting "PLEASE DON'T GO" as he hopped like an elf up and down on their suitcases,to get them to shut. :)

IMHO Coach Jones and staff need to go ahead and get this guy! He looks like the real deal on his tape. If we could nail him down ASAP, this recruiting class could be what it may be anyway, fantastic! This class will not be as big in numbers as the 2014 class, but getting a quality QB to committ early, will probably help with the quality of recruits that CBJ has to choose from. Most 4 and 5 star players want to know who the QB is going to be.

Orange and White game. Book it.

Same difference between being laid off vs. being fired. Ya still don't have a job..

its not the same difference as that.
Having the option to transfer or stay means you have a choice. You still have a position/job but it just isn't the job you want but you stay on scholarship. That is completely different from getting ran off.

I hope we sign this guy as our QB for this class. I hope we only sign him and not 2 QBs. I really believe that if we sign 16 QB Austin kendall I think he will be the future at Tennessee. Really love his film.

We need Gentry to commit at the Orange & White game. That would get the attention of any players in the class of 2015 that are considering Tennessee. Then those players that are committed could start recruiting other players to help their class be better than the 2014 class that was just signed. The horizon could be bright for Tennessee Football if we could put together two great back to back classes!

Landing Gentry would be a huge boost to the class for sure. I have no doubt the current commitments are recruiting their tails off for UT right now. I think the 2015 class will be in the top 8-10 come NSD.
