Kamara & Reid at RB in 2015 and I would not give it a 2nd thought. I'd pass on taking a 3rd and focus that spot IF it actually exists on the OL.

If I were CBJ I would not even be looking at other RBs right now. I would ask Reid a very direct question. "Are you planning to take any other visits"? If he is, then I consider other backs. If he is all Vol and willing to shut it down, I'm done with RB recruiting for 2015.

Leb do you really feel that this is an adequate backfield for 2015?

SO - Jalen Hurd
RSSo - Alvin Kamara
SO - Darrell Scott
RS SR - Justin Pickett or Fr - Rocky Reid


With injuries and what not I really think we need one more back to add in for depth purposes.

IMO it's fine. You could also add Perry for depth. IMO he would fill the same type of roll Love would as a situational RB/Slot guy.

This backfield is 1 Hurd or Kamara injury away from disaster. Give me 1 more.

I'm trying to figure out why he isn't at least a 5.8, something is going on that we don't know about?

Perry IMO is the 1 more.

He is 5'11 175, just as Love is. Both are said to be very fast. Both play RB in HS. Not sure why 1 could do it in college and the other could not. Either guy would be situational anyways and not an every down type back.

JMO

Kamara, Reid, and Perry would give you 3 RBs for 2015. Perry would also be able to see reps in the slot as well. Just as Love would have if he were a Vol.

If Perry were the one more, the staff wouldn't be making a push for Love.

Squarely in Leb's camp on this one - haven't wavered and am only encouraged by what I see and hear with Reid. Guys - you worry about a 5th back. Geez. Let's start with Evan Berry, Joc Bruce, Perry before the scout team guys. They are fine with Kamara and Reid. This is a one back offense.

CBJ and the staff obviously feel otherwise. They are really pushing for Love.

Not being smarmy but I think they "really push" for everybody they offer...I don't think there's a way to verify how intense this recruitment is...guess we'll find out...if we don't have a defining win the rest of the season, I don't think we have a chance with him.
