'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

1) I said "somewhat."

2) I meant running style, north-south running with authority.

3) Some people just love to pick an argument.

I hope he doesn't get 400 carries again though. That's a lot of carries for a HS RB. I love Reid's game and think he will be a very good back for us.

The number of carries guys get in HS gets over-blown imo. Your body heals so quickly at that age that it really doesn't wear your body down like it does later down the road. He's also not getting hit by college defensive players. He's getting hit by HS kids are are generally much smaller and weaker than Reid is, he's the one giving the hits on most occasions I'm sure. I personally don't think it is much of a concern. I hate to be "that guy" but one of the main reason I think this is because of personal experience. In HS I averaged about 35 carries a game and I would rarely ever be sore the day after a game. I would take an ice bath after the game so I'm sure that helped but your body just heals so quickly at that age (cool story bro). IMO the only bad part about it is that the more carries you have the more of a risk of taking that one hit or taking that one awkward step (J Hunt) that could result in a serious injury.

Lol just like to pick an argument? Reid and Kemp have nothing in common except they are both running backs. There are a lot of rb's you could compare Reid to but Kemp isn't one of them. My guess is you watched Kemp on tv against usc jr. he had a good game so you throw his name out to help support your position on Reid. Anyway yes we could have had Kemp but I doubt Bajakian would have used him as efficiently as Ky has. Not sold on Reid in our offense but I'm not getting paid to make those decisions. Actually I'm still trying to figure out what exactly our offense is.

Completely different backs
Drew Brees is somewhat like RG3 in that they both throw the ball i guess

Okay, you all win. It was a stupid comparison. I apologize for having an opinion. I'll think ahead next time I consider having one.

44 carries? Am I the only one getting a little concerned by the amount of carries the kid is getting?

I agree it seems high, but another way you can look at it is he is showing a LOT of durability. To take that many carries and get that many yards and TDs without injury is pretty telling. He good and he tough! Now all he needs is MOAR DREADS so he can be skrong!
