I was fluent in BRAJP for a very long time. It's been awhile, but I agree with you. We have no one of Rocky Reid's ilk and i hope he signs with us.

And I just don't think you're an elite recruiting analyst or coach. Neither am I. If Butch Stones accepted his commitment, that's good enough for me. :crazy:

He's not likely to be a commit much longer.

Honestly I think people like his name more than they do him as a player.

I guess i'm just concerned that only Hurd is capable of running between the G and C and gaining that crucial 3rd and 1 that every team finds themselves needing to convert to win a game. Reid looks like that guy. Kamara, Love, Dauphine do not look like that guy.

Watch their film. Don't just go by size. All three of those guys are terrific inside runners.

I take it you have seen his film? I'm not sure what you are seeing that Butch isn't. Rocky(while I DO love the name) seems to be a complete stud.

Let me repeat what I just said.

Butch is looking to upgrade here. All the signs are pointing that way.

Are you a vol fan or a Rocky Reid fan? If you are a Vol fan you should be happy.

Let me repeat my question that you didn't answer and instead deflected to questioning my loyalties. I'm both. A Vol fan first. Rocky is currently a Vol commit, so I'm a fan. Why do you think Rocky Reid is not an SEC running back?

Fair enough.

He lacks speed and explosiveness. He struggles getting through the line with quickness. I think he would make a suitable fullback in college. He's already 225 and is only going to get bigger. I think he's a better prospect at linebacker than tailback

As I alluded to earlier, recruiting insiders like Hubbs and Fortenberry have strongly suggested that Reid, fair or unfair, is going to be asked to look around as we continue to look at other, better backs like Love, Frasier and Vaughn

Its unfortunate for the player but good for the school.

Butch likely took his commitment early thinking we couldn't get an elite back with Hurd, Scott and Paulk last year and Kamara in this class.

Now that Paulk is gone and we have some momentum with top tier backs, Reid is being phased out.

I agree.

IF the staff is looking to replace him as he has informed them he would be taking other visits, I have no issue with it. IF they plan to replace him just to replace him, IMO it's a mistake. The kid has something we need in Knoxville right now. Power and the ability to break tackles at the point of attack. Trade him for another RB who is dropped by shoelace tackles time after time? No thanks.

Hopefully Rocky ends up in Orange.
