'15 NC DT Shy Tuttle (UT commit 9/26/14)

NDSU - 3peat FCS champions. Squashing the competition. Poll 2 years ago had the BISON ranked over 1/2 of all the FBS teams. 2cents.

In all seriousness. that area should be recruited more heavily at leat by the lower level of FCS. They clearly are getting superior players than the rest of FCS.

McKenzie, Tuttle, and Picou would contend for the top '15 DT class.

Contend? Can you do much better than a top 2 player, a top 25-30 player, and a rising 4 star? The #1, #4, and #23 DT recruits on 247. I think it would easily be the top DT class in 2015.

Thought the same thing. If we get Shy, you can shut down the voting for top DT haul.

Especially if we are able to get DJ Jones too. If we have room

If we land Tuttle it would be no contest. Bama could close strong but Tuttle/McKenzie duo would be too much to pass.

Add in Butcher and a couple of solid DE commits to close like Phillips we could have the overall best DL class which is something I have never seen since following recruiting. Hayneworth and Henderson were awesome but this group has potential as a whole to be better, hopefully ;)

Granted, Haynesworth and Henderson were 6'6" and 6'7" respectfully. That's some serious size.
Being that tall doesn't always help in the dl.I was in the Orange bowl in 97 and watched Nebraska 6'3 320lbs lineman manhandle them.Henderson even said it was a humbling experience.

It's a double-edged sword. Yeah, they have to get lower leverage wise, but being taller allows you take up more space and most likely have a longer wing span.

That Nebraska team was filthy, man.

I saw them in the tunnel a few hours before the game in t shirts and shorts and was blown away.I've never seen a group of men with legs like they all had.I played a little college ball my self and have been in and out of gyms and weight rooms for 30 yrs.It was unreal

It's off topic but since someone brought it up, the rule against chop blocking really should be called the Nebraska rule from how much they did it under Osborne. They also crack back blocked constantly (also now illegal)...When we played them twice in the late '90's chop blocking had been made illegal but the penalty was seldom enforced so they still did it regularly. Shaun Ellis was chop blocked in the '00 Fiesta Bowl and injured on the play with no penalty called...I'm not saying they weren't good but those were some dirty m'fers.

Lol not hardly. But those Nebraska o lineman I was referring too gave us one to start the 2nd half.9 straight run plays too start the half and we could do nothing too stop them.Game over

Well to be fair the entire Nebraska team use to be on the juice. I'm sure we've had our share of players that took steroids but they were on a whole other level.
