Since July 10, Tennessee has 14-of-15 of the predictive expert votes on 247Sports Crystal Ball for five-star defensive tackle Shy Tuttle (Lexington, N.C./North Davidson).
These include predictions of the Big Orange from myself and 247Sports National Recruiting Insider Ryan Bartow, among many others.
North Carolina still leads the voting and the Tar Heels have long been a factor, but at this point, it's a situation that has definitely turned toward Tennessee.
Tuttle is the No. 6 defensive tackle prospect in the 2015 class per 247Sports Composite rankings. Should the Vols end up with him, it could give Tennessee two of the top six defensive tackle prospects in the class- Vols legacy Kahlil McKenzie is the No. 2 defensive tackle and has already committed. Indeed that would be one of the best interior defensive line classes in the country- and that's not including who else Tennessee could land (Tim Settle?).
Yeah I feel like so many people are out there tweeting "UT trending now, with 11 of the last 12 crystal balls for @shy_tuttle" yada yada yada .. If I was getting those mentions as a prospect I would be annoyed..
It's like he gets daily reminders of people telling him where he's gonna pick. I'm sure he knows by now that everybody expects him to pick UT.. Sometimes that kinda stuff pushes kids in another direction for the surprise factor.

Do you really think that would be his reason to pick a school to play at the next 3-5 years? I would think there are many other factors that are much higher on the list, such as: coaching staff, relationships, education, depth chart, etc. I would think spurning recruiting analysts would be pretty far down the list...JMO.
