I guess I'm off on DJ Jones as a prospect, but my original question still stands.

If we were fortunate enough to land McKenzie, Tuttle & Settle, would we still take a JUCO DT, albeit a talented one?

Especially given this class may only be 22-25 deep?

Absolutely. DT is still a need.

Can't turn those guys away.

ok, fair enough

i'd seen some speculate that we would take 2-3 this cycle. but if we can get 4 DT's the staff is big on, then i can def get excited about that

I'd expect a couple JUCOs in this class as well. An elite JUCO DT like Jones is just what we need. And yes I believe he is most likely above 6'2". <- source 247, school profile, hudl heights are all above 6'2"

On the off chance we did land those guys, we should be dancing in the streets.

That's a serious haul

DJ Jones is by many reports the top guy on our DT board. However shocking it may be, he is actually a take before any I the guys you just listed. Jones should end up as the #2 overall JUCO player and could be pushing 5-star status, which is extremely rare for JUCO's

Wow, guess I missed the boat on DJ. Glad to hear we are in on another great prospect.

Chances we land him?

Yep. Don't rule that out. 2014 was a hell of a class. I wouldn't put anything past this staff when it comes to the recruiting trail.

That's where things are weird. It was Butch and staff that places him in that college, so you'd think we would be a slam dunk favorite. The problem is that he was placed in a Mississippi JUCO.

We will be in this one till the end, but with all of the best schools in the nation, plus the Mississippi schools as competition, this won't be easy.

We need to open up a powerhouse juco football program at pellisippi and place errbody there, our own triple a ball team if you will..
