'15 NC DT Shy Tuttle (UT commit 9/26/14)

Somebody asked him about a recruit at a Big Orange Caravan stop once and he gave them the party line on it ("can't comment on a PSA", etc).

But they might have a good point about him not actually mentioning ST by name. That's probably stretching the rule a bit, but still technically compliant.

Big Orange Caravan is a Tennessee promotional event.

Butch was just kicking it with a single dude. By your interpretation of this rule, he couldn't even discuss it with his wife.

We're ok.

I'm good haha. Since his wife hosts recruiting dinners at their house, I think we can safely presume she's discussed it with the coach before.

According to a well respected poster on the GQ, Butch has canceled plans to attend Tuttle's game tonight and will instead visit multiple games in the midstate area.

I think with Tuttle practically in the bag, this is a smart move.

Hmmm. Yeah I hope that's the case

There's some smoke out there that the reason for Elder's tweet this morning is Tuttle called and told the staff he was committing to Tennessee next Friday.

I think he told the staff he was committing way before today.

Remember the Saturday that Azzani and Elder tweeted about tweeting "Shy" people well? I think that is the day he let them know he was going to be a vol. My reasoning behind it is that the Volquest guys are never this confident on a prospect unless they know for sure where they are going and they are more confident on Tuttle they I have ever seen on a prospect. They probably already have the commitment article written...which they have been known to do.

VQ has had an inordinate amount of time to write the commitment story; and I guarantee the story will still have atrocious grammar. But who cares, this time next week we'll be talking about a pair of 5-star defensive tackles manning the defensive line interior. Oh the humanity.

I took it as a reference to going to see him tonight, but who knows. Maybe he told Butch he was all Vol and to spend his time elsewhere.

Some much needed depth at defensive tackle. Look at the LSU's, Bama, and GA. And they all have 4 to 5 star players depth at D-Tackle. We will be there very soon with Khalil Mac, Shy Tuttle and Quay Picou.

Added to Mixon and Sawyers. Big time potential.

I was really excited to watch this year's freshman class play but next year had me just as enthusiastic plus with our o-line having another year under their belt next year could be really fun to be a vol fan

Ya one of the sources I know said the same thing. Also said that, that is why he isn't going to see Tuttle play.
