In years past, it was expected that our commitments would visit elsewhere and "have a good time". I think times are changing and so is recruiting. More and more schools are pushing kids to NOT visit after a commitment. If the coaches are going to ask Weatherd or any other recruit to not visit elsewhere, I think that should go for all commitments. It has to be even across the board or it could prove to be a bad way of doing things. JMO
The poster I was responding to said he was not going to worry about us losing any recruits until we had recruits jump ship. Lee and Powell were my examples and fit the bill quite well as they were UT commits and now are UT de-commits. I feel confident Cherry is a Vol come signing day 2015. Would I have taken his commitment this early with him planning to take a lot of trips elsewhere? No I would not have. After he is done having his fun, I would then take his commitment. As a coach I would not ask Weatherd to not go to a&m and then be cool with Cecil taking visits all over the country. JMO
Butch recruits better than most everyone that has recruited him. Feels like home, loves the tradition. Coach Jones told him there was sonething different about him. Ray Lewis is his role model and loves to hit like him. Big fan of smashmouth football. His cousin, former UT RB Tony Thompson, told him of the great tradition UT has. Plans to visit for the UGA game and the AU game. Wants to see the stadium atmosphere and keep building his relationship with CBJ. Loves Thig, said he tells the truth and is a great coach. Is trying to be an EE, major in sports mgmt.

Frostproof (Fla.) class of 2015 linebacker Cecil Cherry remains solid in his commitment to Tennessee, but Tuesday's offer from Notre Dame vaulted the Irish into his top five.
