That, to me, sounds like a guy bragging to his ex-girlfriend (that dumped him) how hot his new one is. Cause you just don't do that while still committed. There are some hurt feelings in those comments, IMHO.

Recruits divulge information that the coaches give them to media sites across the board, VQ included. If they didn't, what purpose would the recruiting forum serve?

Well, IMHO, it sounds just like a guy being butthurt. It's been said he was warned about taking visits. He decided to take them anyway and lost his spot, which is why things with Kirkland have escalated so quickly. His spot in this class was in his own hands. Cherry made the decision. Any hurt feelings are due to his own actions.

This. Every single recruiting update, for every single kid, at every single school divulges info from the school to the recruit. I don't have a clue how you could think that would get a school in hot water. I'm hoping he worded that post wrong because he's WAY off base if not...

Other teams can have the headhunters. i want speed and coverage skills and any way to tackle someone to bring them down. It doesn't have to be pretty. why are so many people so enamored with the big hits. They happen maybe once a game, and heck when you hit someone to hard now you get a penalty and might even be thrown out of the game. No thanks cherry, I will take kirkland any day of the week and twice on sundays

Regardless as to what takes place and what has taken place, let's respect this young man on whatever decision he makes or has been made for him. Cherry is Elite on the level that he currently plays. Now, how the staff may feel about how that transfers over to the next level may be something different or may not...we really don't know. Either way, let's show class and show him some respect.

63 posts and quite bossy IMO.

Not sure how closely you followed his recruitment, but we shut down recruiting MLB because of how strongly we felt his commitment was.

Then he started taking visits and if it weren't for Kirkland basically fallin in our lap we may not have enough time to make up ground with guys we haven't been actively recruiting.

Considering the situation he put us in I do not have respect for him, because he did not respect our program or our coaches wishes, which was not to take visits.

Why show him respect that he isn't willing to show our program? IMO he is not a current commit and can be the hell on down the road.

Now that you're brought up to speed, carry on.

1. Hubbs works for the school. He is literally on the inside when it comes to information.
2. You either just completely made that NCAA bit up or are bad at reading. The staff could tell Hubbs anything they wanted to, if they chose to do that. He can't quote them on it, because that would be a violation and would result in the end of said information, so instead he says "Tennessee is in a good spot for this one" or "I think the staff told him", etc.
