'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

I think it's very simple and reasonable recruiting. You stick with your commitment, you're safe. You wanna "enjoy the process" after committing, you're on the chopping block.

Cherry took a visit, take Kirkland.
Jackson/Taylor takes visits, take Phillips.
Miller takes visits, take Amadi.
Reid takes visits, take Vaughn/Love.

Kid wants to be a Vol, don't give the coaches a reason to replace you. Simple as that. JMO

And some won't have to take a visit to be replaced. However they may be told to take a visit too.

I think the thing here is that Phillips and Amadi are EE's. So if they want in, I'm pretty well confident they get a spot. I believe Love is also an EE so he would get a spot as well.

I think it was said that UT planned to take 11-12 EEs in this class. There seem to be a lot more names than 11-12 to be EEs. Hope there is not a Booth situation again this year where a kid was told he could EE then gets the rug pulled out from under him.

Hate to lose Cherry and it appears we will but they are ALL replaceable. OBTW, hes officially unfriended on Twitter too...just saying

Would bet there are one or two. I'll take a stab at 12 EE's just for fun:

QB: Dormady, Jennings
RB: Kamara, Love
OL: Jones, Stewart, Hall
DL: Phillips, Tuttle, Butcher
LB: Kirkland
CB: Amadi

Im sure if he were committed to us still his comments would be viewed differently.
As far as his tweets go many of our current players/commits have ridiculous nonsensical tweets, thats why they are called teenagers

I do not recall a recruit ever talking about "ending someone's career". I think it may be better for TN in the long run with that comment. Don't wish anything bad to the kid, but karma is a b*tch. Just sayin.

Well, let's just say you do injure a kid in a game and they leave the game. And you've said stuff about ending people's careers, you've put a target on yourself and most likely someone is going to injure you.

Couldn't think of a better scenario than this one. Both QB's plus the other positions where we have the most need/biggest questions for next year imo.

Recruits like Phillips are doing the process correctly. They take their visits, both official and unofficial, consider their options , make a decision, and stick with it. I suspect that when Phillips makes his final decision, he will definitely stick with it. I respect his approach. Recruits like Cherry and Richmond who commit and then play the process are just not ones that coaches are willing to bank on. If Allen flips to the Vols, Richmond is history. If Cherry flips, Kirkland will be a Vol within days if he wants. Certainly can't fault the coaches. Vols are a destination, not an option.

It's really simple guys. Cherry went next door to flirt with the neighbor and when he returned home he found the doors locked and the locks changed.

A tweet I saw in the "tweets forum" was a reply from Cherry to a fan that told him to stay in the SEC and be a Vol and Cherry's response was something to the effect of "naw, you guys go after your other linebacker".

Definitely sounds jilted.

I think that's the same fan that told him to get F'd.

Brent Hubbs, with more inside sources to the program than arguably anyone, has said as much. He specifically said that the coaches told Kirkland there was no spot available.

Cherry visits Texas, and all of the sudden, a spot is available. Imagine that, right? If you have evidence to suggest that Hubbs or anyone else with inside knowledge of the situation is wrong, please share. Otherwise, don't attack people who are regurgitating information that you didn't take the time to read.
You are FOS, because the staff does not divulge communications they have with recruits to media members...period. Just because Hubbs covers the team, doesn't mean he's privy to INSIDE information. If he revealed publicly, communications the staff had with a recruit, that could get the staff in hot water with the NCAA.

Thanks for making shiite up and passing it off as factual information, once again.
