'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

Aside from the fact that he's mean, a hard hitter, and plays really hard.... one of my fav things about Cecil is how he's totally 100% all Vol. He's never even considered the possibility of flipping or looking around. Just love this kid

Jmo, but I think he's talented enough to come in and make a big impact right away.

Middle backer is one of hype toughest for a true freshmen to just waltz in and grasp. AJ even admitted he didn't know what he was doing and he probably wouldn't have started his fresh year had there been a capable upperclassmen on the squad. We'll have Bryant and Jakob with a year under their belt so they seem like the heir apparent to me. I think Cherry will destroy people on special teams that first year or redshirt.

Oh... That's IMO of course.

Well at least we both agree he's gonna make an immediate impact for the team. Yes MLB is one of the hardest positions to take over immediately, but I'm not gonna be totally shocked if it does happen. This kid is gonna be a force.

I don't think we have another mlb on the roster next year do we?

I thought AJ played OLB his freshman year?

Best quote from that article was from his coach:

"When you say Tennessee commit, that speaks volumes in and of itself."

Why, yes. Yes it does coach.

Speaking of Bryant, has anyone heard anything about him lately?

"Gavin Bryant: The Alabama rookie doesn't shy away from contact, but he's got to get more comfortable in the playbook and in the Vols' system. That will allow him to play faster, and that's what coaches are waiting for. Bryant could factor into some special teams units."

Bynum, who played a lot in practice due to AJ having nothing to prove or job to win. I think King also reps at MLB. Both are RS sophomores. Add Bryant, who likely passes up left over Dooley talent.
