Six years is a long time to us fans, and you're right about a lot of these recruits being fairly young when we were relevant.
However, UT is still on national TV almost every time we play real D1 opponents. The media, broadcasters, etc., are old folks like us so they remember and still see UT as a major player in CFB, so we get plenty of publicity.
And, even though these kids may not grow up as college fans of UT, they certainly know some pros that have been here.
Yeah I agree with you. UT is still such a traditional player in college football, despite the lack of big wins recently.
But winning those big, nationally televised games are what elevate programs. UT needs some of those.
It's great having players like Peyton Manning and Foster dominating on Sundays. Recruits know damn well who they are and where they went to school.
