'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

He didn't commit to Bama. But he will to Tennessee to be with his buddy and help bring in an amazing recruiting class. :)

Do we really have a legitimate shot with this guy? Everything I'm seeing is pointing to Bama or Georgia with UT and everyone else back a little ways. What makes people so confident that we land him?

The fact he hasnt committed anywhere yet tells me we do have a shot, and Jenkins helps it even more. Kamara is doing this the right way and making sure he chooses the right school. He may ultimately end up at UGA or Bama but if he was 100% sold on either he has no reason to not be committed to them already.

Think a more polished, better framed Isaiah Pead. Pead's senior year film and Kamara's senior year film match up so well.

I didn't want to say this in the D. Green thread out of respect for the kid but I would rather have Kamara than D. Green or any other back in this class. Kamara and Ford would be great.

I'll say this in any thread. I want Kamara, Green and Ford!

I recall several years ago when we had few big names at RB on the team at the same time. Think 90's.

We definitely do, especially now with CBJ and staff are here. Didnt like our chances with Dooley but with the new staff plus Jenkins and possibly Lawson has only improved our chances. Honestly it only makes sense with Al and Ga stacked at RB that a back that fits our offense perfectly and our lack of depth to come to UT. He would by far get more carries and touch's next season at UT tjhan those 2.Plus the chance to play with his buddies and to help to get UT back to where we used to be.

True, We had Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and Stephens at the same time. We had a class where we signed Jabari Davis, D. Tinsley and either C.Houston or Hardesty. I cant remember which plus a kid from Ala Keiland Williams or something like that. It definitely has happened a good bit at UT and many other schools. Hell look at LSU they play 4-5 backs a game. Pretty amazing, although I have no idea how you keep any RB in any kind of rhythm but they are successful at doing it.

Spot on. I hate to say it, don't want to put Momma on the spot, but I think the Croom connection is strong with Mr. Kamara. I don't believe that Momma is going to sway these young men to a certain school - but I think she has the students best interest at heart. If she felt that UT was best for Jason than I can't help but think that she see's UT as a good fit for Alvin - depending on his course of studies.
