'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Laughable that anybody would say "Saban isnt leaving Alabama" when the discussion is centered around Texas. Texas can offer more money, better city to live in for his family, there is no way recruiting at Texas would not be at least equal to what he does at Alabama, and then his competition in the league is not nearly as difficult as the SEC. Yeah, I see no reasons he would leave Alabama for Texas That does not mean it is for sure happening but to say it wont happen is crazy talk.

Alvin, you bought into the idea of playing slot with Alabama. The only question now seems to be will that hold true or will you need to brush up on your tackling skills as a DB. If you plan to transfer, make you choice and enroll in your new school of choice in January to allow for you to participate in Spring drills in 2015.

I would be shocked if Saban left.

Saban will soon be looking for the next way to prove how great Saban is. He's running out of things to prove at Bama. It is doubtful he goes pro again. Texas is a possibility. IMO, USCw could get into it with Saban too. THAT would present more of a challenge. The only conference that rivals the SEC right now is the Pac12.

I think Saban would relish the idea of throwing his D philosophy up against the challenge of Oregon and the rest of an O happy conference.

I agree, but I don't think saban wants to move and start everything over.he's got it made in bama, and gets paid a ton. He's too old to go through another change. But I do believe texas would be the program to do it. All those oil tycoons can buy saban twice if they wanted to. I would love to see him gone, but I don't think it would happen. Would love to see what they would do to their beloved statue.

That's exactly why I think he would consider leaving. Most good coaches have big egos. His is bigger than most. What more can he prove at Bama... and what is the risk of staying? He can't really prove anything else. If he stays... someone will eventually break the code and start beating him.

A new challenge.... would be a big motivator.

He gets paid a ton regardless... and what makes you think having it made would be very attractive to him?

He's in the 60's. maybe 10 years ago a new challenge would be appealing. Also the guy hates the media, he would have to do weekly appearances on the longhorn network, and on top of all the tv channel bs he would have to start completely over. Saban is gonna stay. Would love for him to get out of there. If he left it would be for money, every man has a price....texas would be the only program who could pay an outrageous price for saban.

Here's a prediction: Kamara transfers to UT along with Silverberry Mouhon.

Not sure why he picked bama in the first place. I guess every kid thinks they're the best until they are riding the pine sitting at 5th on the depth chart at RB.

Is he rumored to be transferring from Bama? Never understood his choice in the first place. As good a talent as he was that is one of the few places where he was always going to have a hell of a time ever seeing any meaningful snaps.

I could see it but he would have to sit a year. But then Lane would be gone as well and he would be in the mix with Hurd, Pickett and Paulk. I know he would be a guy with that elite edge speed UT has lacked in a long time.
