I would agree with that all day. But I doubt CBJ himself knows for sure today that 7 kids WILL BE walking away. A "hard number" of 23 today is BS.

They don't have to walk away, they can just be taken off scholarship.

Doug Mathews has repeatedly said we will take up to 25 with 23 being the hard number right now & the other 2 spots depending on what happens this summer.

He got that number from Directir of Player Personnel Bob Welton. Heard him say it myself on Doug's Big Orange Sunday Show a few weeks back. I'll go with his number.

He may harp on and on and on about the numbers, but there's a reason. He doesn't live in googleyeyed imaginationland like all the posters that he is constantly tempering expectations for. It's just as annoying to me all the people that ignore reality with the numbers because at the end of the day, facts are facts. I think he's only trying to keep everyone grounded in reality, and that takes an immense amount of time and effort around these parts. Basically, he wouldn't post it a million times if people just get it the first time. :hi:

It seems like you follow me only to contradict everything I say....but you're wrong on this IMO. Fluid, I agree with. The facts change as the situation changes. That is NOT speculation. 1 more on the roster leaves, one more scholarship for this year. How is that speculation? Just because facts change with the environment does not mean he's just guessing lol dumb post is dumb. And I'm done with this conversation because I'm not going to continue it in a player thread.
