'15 IN LB Darrin Kirkland Jr (UT Commit 12/15/14)

I doubt Scogin if he's claiming a kid, any kid, has eidetic memory.

Care to elaborate???

What does this mean for Gavin Bryant?

My first thought as well. If he gets passed by a true FR, then it might mean transfer after next year, unless they have another plan for him at a different position. It's just nice to finally have competition at almost every position, and let the best man win in practice.

DKJ is a day 1 starter at mlb per Thig. Said this kid is physically mentally and more talented than all the mlbs we currently hv

Source? Even if it were true, why would a football coach crown a true freshman a "day 1 starter" before his first practice while simultaneously trashing his competition? This makes absolutely no sense, I'm calling BS.

Hoping DKJ is this season's Barrnett as JJ was lost at MLB and needs to bulk up for DE as DE isn't as mentally challenging as MLB. We did get solid MLB play against Iowa so were not without options there.

Not inferring JJ isn't intelligent - only referencing his very limited football background coming from Europe.

He just said his source was Thig himself. Believe it or not if you want, but he named his source.

You hear all the time that someone has eidetic or photographic memory. Very rarely is it a true case if it. You can have an excellent memory and/or a style of recall that involves seeing images in your mind without having true eidetic memory.

Not saying he doesn't, but 99% of the time it's an exaggeration when people say that. Those are the people who can look at a series of 50 random numbers for 10 seconds and recite the whole thing.

I've met dozens of people who claimed to have a "photographic memory". I think a lot of people confuse a good memory with a photographic memory. I've met some very dumb people who claim to have a "photographic memory" but a majority were smart enough that it seemed legit. Never have I met someone with an eidetic memory (which is far, far more rare and usually only active in childhood and/or adults on the autism spectrum.) Chimpanzees also have an amazing eidetic memory...the more you know! :)

Complete truth here.
