'15 IN LB Darrin Kirkland Jr (UT Commit 12/15/14)

do you see a scenario in which Cherry decommits and they take both Kirkland AND Sapp?

I could see that happening. I still think it's probably too early to worry about numbers.

Because if i said anything about how I preferred Kirkland over Cherry about 5 months ago, I would've been blasted because since Cherry is committed to UT he is the best MLB in the country and NO other player can come close to his talent level... This happens so many times in other threads up until a player is thinking about flipping...

Not really in this case. I know I and many others discussed his lack of speed and lateral quickness well before anyone thought there was a chance that he wouldn't be a Vol come NSD. Everyone loves his striking ability and instincts but his athleticism was questioned by quite a few people in this thread. And I don't think anyone thought he was the best MLB in the country and if they did it was just because they were being a homer. I agree that happens with a lot of recruits but not really in this case.

When are we gonna accept the fact that none of us has a damn clue?

Rest easy, Nostradamus wrote about our numbers situation somewhere in his quatrains.

... Ah, here, I found it:

For not wishing to consent to the divorce,
Which then afterwards will be recognized as unworthy:
The Unwanted Current Commits of the Vols will be driven out by force,
In their place put ones who will have no mark other than complete beast and best of the nation

Callahan CB'd him to us tonight. He said he didn't think he would shut it down this weekend though.
