'15 GA WR Preston Williams (UT Signee 2/4/15)

My ACT score report was in Roman numerals. I nearly maxed the math section even though the abacus hadn't yet been invented.

I went and took the ACT while preparing a 5 course meal in the other room and drinking a handle of Jack while taking it and I still scored a 75 with no calculator or pencil. Not to mention I forgot my clothes and was completely naked which caused me to get the instructors phone number for a night recap 😜

Pretty much sums up the thread.

What was his name?

I remember rushing thru the sat so I could get home and watch tenn vs Georgia. It's all about priorities.

I was finishing up the LSAT at the law school as the POTS was marching toward the stadium for the 2001 Georgia game. That was an early game and missed most of the first quarter. Could not get out of their fast enough.

The 18 is for the NCAA obviously not the university. The process is quite simple for football players. The player applies to the university. Someone calls over to admissions and asks for (insert player) to be admitted. And they are good to go. No test scores no anything. If the player is eligible by NCAA standards they will play. One thing to note, the ACT isn't given again to regular students until the 2nd Saturday in September. So, unless UT can work out something special with ACT/NCAA I wouldn't look to see P Williams untill at least late September.

.sept 12th is earliest, figure a month after that

Same here! Except it was the Bama game. Longest test of my life.

I took the FE in Chattanooga then had to drive an hour and a half to Knoxville to see the completely underwhelming 2008 Bama game. Made great time though. Got to my seats as the band was forming the T. Passed the FE too.

Hubbs said on radio today that Preston should be able to take the test within the next 10 days, should get results fairly soon after. Also said he only needs to post a score that makes him eligible...said nothing about having to post a specific score in relation to his earlier test score(s). Tifwiw, Ira, pga, NBA, ou812.

I look forward to his return then.

I've heard that's how it works too. They're basically invalidating his old score and making him prove he can get into school, not that he can match his old score.

Proper way to do things. The other way would be far too arbitrary.

So, if all he has to do is make a score that makes him eligible, he should be good to go. Even if he had the minimum GPA coming out of HS (2.0) he would only have to make a about a 22 (cumulative score of all 4 sections must be 86 [example, math - 20, english - 20, science - 20, reading - 20 = total of 80 points]) .

If he had a 2.5 in HS, then that puts him having to make about a 17.

If he had a decent GPA in HS (3.0), then he's gotta make a 13.

All pretty easily attainable with the support he has. i think we're in great shape for him to join back up the last week of camp. Maybe he'll be ready to go for OU.
