Bottom line is UT right now has arguably the best surronding cast in CFB and all that a QB could ask for at WR, TE and RB going into 2014. Add a premium 2015 QB and we are set.

I don't think we are going to find that guy. Only time you should just pencil in a HS kid coming in at QB is if your QB recruiting has been a disaster for years. Maybe if you have a couple kids transfer out. Finding a HS to just step in as a starter day 1 with 2 elite 11 guys on campus and multiple years in the program is very unlikely IMO.

Johnson would be starting at AU as a true frosh if they had not found Marshall and will be the starter after Marshall leaves. I think had Johnson came to UT he would have easily been our starter last year.

I think for the big majority of big time recruits its about exposure, winning, and prep for the NFL.

Academics is secondary. A college degree Is a college degree for the most part.

They're just repeating what most mentors/coaches/teachers/parents tell them for advice... If it really were the case then the Ivy League would still be in charge of college football and not the SEC...

Don't get the vibe he is that serious about UT. He talks a lot about getting followers and what-not. Had a 5-star Running Back commit to UGA basically joking around that he was playing with us and he kinda played along with it.

A lot of these kids have picked up on the UT twitter obsession and kinda use the fanbase for attention.
