I haven't seen any proof of that but if that's what CBJ is doing then I am fine with that. I have always said I support whatever CBJ has for Gibson.

The only proof I can offer is creamer getting moved to LB, and the Dews recruitment. The other proof is beyond our security clearance.

Does anyone truthfully believe dews would have seen the field at LB with the talent coming in?
Was it wrong yes but would it be fair to take a kid knowing he would more than likely transfer.

He's #1 QB in the nation because guys like Mike "will" Farrell and JC Shurburt ice cream said so. I do not know if they've ever played football. I gots a question, who has offered him?

Are u really asking who's offered Torrance Gibson?

All those words in your head constantly though

I'm one of those people whose brain is a bullet train. I like to think. It's fun to me. I come up with some gold and others are like Worley's passes into the ground.

I think that's why I can derail a thread quickly.

I can't wait to see Gibson pick the Vols. This guy is an absolute beast and is an essential component to getting us to the level we demand of UT football.

So what you're telling me is ALL of these programs coaches see something special in Gibson? That can't be because according to LV the only teams who want Gibson are only concerned with what the recruiting services say. Not his actual talent and skill.

Seems their concerns are of little consequence...

Tennessee picked up 4 more crystal balls in the last 16 hours:

I'm excited at the prospect that he may come to Tennessee too, but I don't necessarily think he is "essential" to getting us where we want to be. I think we will get there with him or without him. If you can believe what you read, Jennings and Dormady are both capable of leading the team back to greatness. But I'd rather have him in the mix, for sure.

I don't think he is the #1 QB in the nation.

Rivals-#4 ATH
247-#1 ATH
Scout-#2 QB
ESPN-#2 QB.

TIFWIW.

He's also listed as an ATH on ESPN. I'm not going to get into a debate, but I just don't understand why he continues to play WR at the 7 vs 7s, if he is going to play QB his senior year and in college. I am not questioning anyone's knowledge of the situation, but things just don't add up. No matter which one he plays, I'm excited to get him.

I stayed away from this forest fire for a few days. Opened it this morning and read a few pages. Bad decision...ruined a nice morning.

After hearing that Gibson is going to be a WR at the IMG National 7v7, I do believe there is a good chance that Gibson might end up at WR. What I mean is he will be given a chance at QB (he might end up playing later on), but he knows if that doesn't work he will be moved to WR fast.

Maybe this thread is causing me to have Stockholm Syndrome (thanks LV).

That said I am not sold at all on either JJ or QD. I believe whoever we pick up in the next class will end up starting over them. I pray I'm wrong.

Yes pretty much. You make room for someone like Gibson. The added bonus is there is a chance (how much a chance? I'm not a coach like some on here) he could end up a QB, but at worst you have an amazing athlete at your disposable.

Before we had 2 other QBs committed, adding a 2nd made sense. Had TG taken that spot, ok then. Would all the teams who offered TG take him today at QB? I doubt it. JMO of course.

"Just adding him to the other 2 and seeing how it works out" is part of the problem IMO. You mention you think whoever UT gets in 2016 may start over any of the 2015 guys anyway. The problem is there is a very good chance they take 3 in 2015, and there is no QB in 2016.
