This is where you have it all wrong. Those of us who are supporting Gibson are doing so because of what CBJ and the coaching staff obviously have seen. You have this convoluted stance that every recruiting service and coaching staff of major D-1 programs are wrong and you're right. I base my opinion off of what our coaching staff thinks. They seem to be very high on Gibson. It's very obvious that they see something special in Gibson. Why is that hard for you to understand?
You like everybody else n this board really doesn't know what kind of system we are going to run. What if CBJ changes his system to take advantage of the strengths of his players? How do you know this won't happen? Our coaching staff believes that Gibson fits in our offensive scheme or they wouldn't be pushing so hard for him. Now if for some reason we back off recruiting him then I will assume that CBJ knows what he is doing and accept it. It just so happens that a guy our staff is very interested in is also a highly rated player.
Like with Creamer, I think our coaches are saying one thing and will do another. I think they are recruiting Gibson as a QB to make him happy. Once signs, words go out the window. All it is, is a pitch. Salesmen do this all the time.
I admire and respect LV for saying what he says despite what others think. America is kinda missing that.

Me too.
It sucks to see a kid you could have had win a ring.
And yes I do believe Newton would.have come here.
I'm saying what the words are, and what reality is can be quite different. Why that is, is something we will never know.
It's like Tyndall saying we won't take renegades and taking McKnight. Coach speak is what we refer it to.
TG is listed as an ATH for the Opening. I assume he is going to play WR there as well. Maybe he s done a few 7 on 7s in the past as QB and didn't do too well?
His style of play at QB is to do quick passes and pass on the run, which is opposite for the The 7 on 7s.

Not a fan at all. Coaches can do things the right way and still win. If a coach has to lie to a recruit to sign him, why bother? The transfer % goes WAY up doing business like that. The bad pub is not worth the headaches IMO. If your recruiting them for QB, tell them AND be honest with the other recruits. If your going to "sign" them at QB and move them to WR 22 minutes into practice #1, just tell them you see them as a WR. A happier recruit will perform better. Don't lie just to get a signature. JMO
