Wait, so almost everyone thought Barnett was going to Oregon and almost everyone thought Francois was going to FSU. But now Barnett is at bama and the momentum for Francois is shifting to auburn?

Hahahahahahaha. More evidence that these are two of the most cheating schools in NCAA history. And the NCAA could care less

Can't speak for Bama but FSU expressed a lot of interest in Kai Locksley right before Francois came to Auburn for a visit. He was in Tallahassee just a week ago as well. Don't see what that has to with cheating. Both schools are in the running for Locksley and Francois so one gaining momentum really doesn't mean much.

So you trying to say the Barn don't cheat ? How short of a memory you seem to have...

Everyone knows Auburn cheats but he's right about this imo. FSU has been slow playing Francois in favor of Locksley and it was only a matter of time until DF started looking around.

Bama and Barnett on the other hand raises all kinda of red flags to me. Everyone knows just how desperate they were getting for a QB this cycle.

The Auburn Rivals site is notoriously known as one of the biggest homer sites in recruiting. They're basically the complete opposite of Hubbs and Fortenberry, who are extremely grounded in their predictions/info.

But, are they as smug as Hubbs is about their predictions?

Has this been posted?

Honestly, I don't know what he's going to do right now. There's talk that a few teams are getting ready to bow out of the Gibson sweepstakes.

and

Things always can change, though. The evaluation process doesn't end until signing day, and it's definitely not unheard of for teams to back off players who once were a high priority because of off-field concerns - and sometimes even a change in their evaluations of a player's talent level.

What a dumb decision on Barnett's part. He is 10x of a better fit at Oregon than Bama. Does Kiffin even have experience with a dual threat QB? Barkley, Leinart, Crompton were all pro style poker passers.

Does Kiffin have experience at anything other than being a sleazeball?

Not at all. Are you?

I just have never had that impression of Hubbs. I'm pretty sure Fortenberry is the resident recruiting aficionado over there anyway.

I think we can all agree Rucker is an abrasive character, but for some reason the 247 posters worship him... it's odd.

I actually like Rucker ok. He is abrasive, and, he is a Cubs fan. Maybe that is why he is abrasive. Hubbs just seems smug to me. He is usually pretty accurate. I think maybe my opinion of him is forever tainted because of his association with the Sports Animal. I am not very fond of most of their personalities, with John Wilkerson being the main exception.

What do these actually mean anyway?

They're just predictions by media people that cover recruiting. Sometimes they're just random picks with no real inside info but other times, they're know legit stuff and switch their picks.

Usually the time to pay attention is when a slew of them start going for one team quickly. Typically that means people have started hearing something worthwhile about a recruit. For example, A couple of hours before Barnett committed to Bama this morning, a ton of crystal balls were going to Bama and/or flipping from Oregon.

Also, everyone's picks are saved and they get points for being right and additional points for how long in advance they were right about where a recruiting would go.
