It will be hard to prove but I just wish he would be smarter.

Don't broadcast everything you're doing via twitter.

But, it's a recruiting violation regardless and already being talked about by other talking heads

It's not a violation "regardless". What if it's family that lives in Chatt? We don't know that yet gator boy.

None of us know the details of how he got to AU. Did he drive himself, or ride with a coach, friend, etc.? Too many variable to just assume he had a better option than making two trips.

This, some people are so naive on what they read and have no real knowledge of NCAA by laws. I have a graduate degree in sport management, and I can assure you this is no violation.

Serious question. Why do y'all think P. Williams is recruiting Francois to join him and not Gibson? Even though Gibson seems more likely at this point?

How long have we had this camp scheduled? To be honest if you book 2 months out you can usually get a roundtrip flight on Allegiant Air between FLL and TYS for $60-$70 each way. Less than what it'd cost to drive.Wait til the last minute, it'll cost you

I woke up this morning, pretty concerned about current world events, but my worries have now been shifted to a car ride that a kid from Florida safely took to Knoxville.

Who are they?

Why would they do that?

Where did they eat along the way?

Ohhhh... the suspense.

Have no way of really knowing, but you could interpret this weekend as a blatant sign that we're not a top priority for him...it's not fair to him but you have to wonder if a big marquee event at Auburn or tOSU would have been missed. :dunno:

AU had their big event last weekend and he was front and center. Of course it was not a camp environment where recruits were expected to compete it was just a lot of bagman type recruiting. Had UT's event not been a camp, maybe he would have been there Friday. :dunno:

If I wasn't clear I apologize. :hi: I said we "have no way of knowing" but "it could be interpreted"...this is the big time and if a recruit that has placed us at 1b on his list straggles in at the end of a weekend..."assumptions" will be made "unfair" maybe?...time will tell.

If I had zero ties to Tennessee and I was being recruited by them I probably would not come here ( if I read the message boards). We already know some recruits do. Yet many so-called Vol fans continue to make baseless assumptions and trash these young men before they even commit , much less play in a game here. We know very little about these young men and any of them could be a home run or a bust. To say I would have preferred one player over another is fine. Especially when it is based on experience or stats. To trash their reputation with speculation ( you know who you are ) is wrong. Unless you live next door to them and know them personally then shut your trap. You could be costing us the next Tee Martin, Peyton Manning, or Al Wilson. Sorry for the rant but it is well deserved for a few of you. It is starting to look a little like the FF in here and we should restore the sanity before it slips further into that abyss. Please remember that many of our past stars did not look good on paper coming in. That is one reason we love them so much now. They gave their all for our dear Tennessee.

So boards of other teams have filtered praise and no other opinions? I ask the question because I don't know the answer. I'd probably put it to Vol74...I remember in JH's thread before and after his commitment that there was unfair speculation about his attitude and conduct that got shouted down on here in good order...I don't see questioning some of TG's actions and/or lack of in the same vein...his dismissal from school was speculated on but FACTS haven't been determined in that matter, and the general consensus on here has been wait and see IMO...the great thing about this board is the back and forth interplay of it's posters...I usually swing positive and sunshine, but I shouldn't swing blind...if I question something, I put it on here...as long as THEY let me.
