It's funny to me that the ones in this thread getting pissed bc they didn't think he was gonna show up is the ones that have critiqued and cut TG down about every single thing. And I was gonna block LebanonVol but it would erase the TG thread maybe we should name it the roast of Torrance Gibson brought to you by LebanonVol. God have mercy on that dead horses soul LebanonVol has been beating the past 6 months!

Without reading this whole thread, LV has come across as OK with QB we've got committed. The way I've read it, he's not going to cry if TG doesn't commit for this reason.

I haven't read much in here though. Maybe I'm wrong.

They talk down the ones they are scared we won't get so it doesn't hurt them as bad if he doesn't come here

Seeing he skipped the QB camp, maybe they can get Worley or Dobbs to throw him a few today and he could earn a spot as the #2 WR alongside Williams in the class. I'd rather it be a slot/type WR, but Gibson would be alright.

It's been my point for quite some time. I see TG and JJ as very similar QB options. I had also said several times that had TG committed 1st, I would have been saying pass on JJ. I'd feel better having a better passer as the #2 QB taken in this class. Especially after losing a passer in Ferguson.

I'm high on Matt Williams as he was offered early and was quoted as saying it did not matter who offered, he was All Vol. His 4500 yards passing and 50TDs last year makes pulling for him easier. :good!:

The excuses being made for Gibson are comical and all because he has an extra star next to his name. You just think it's a coincidence that a kid who struggles throwing the ball shows up a day late to an elite passing camp? Meanwhile Jennings shows up to camp to improve himself at the position he wants to play instead of hiding from it.

I can't speak for TG, but JJ has come across to me as someone who loves it when he can prove you wrong.

If TG is in Knoxville and was during the time of the QB camp, why on earth would he not attend? Kind of bizarre

It seems very similar to the Dobbs/Ferguson situation that has seemed to play out recently. Dobbs really applied himself to get better while Ferg just relied on what he had.

That is what I have read and figured it was all along. Both wanted to be QBs in college. That is why I am not in favor of taking both. JJ was in 1st. I'd feel much better if the staff signs a better passing QB for that 2nd spot.
