Not impressed by Gibson's character. Then again, he is a high-schooler and an extremely popular recruit. I'd probably be just as immature if I were in his shoes.

Gibson is in a time crunch. Auburn is still recruiting Kai Locksley hard and he wants to verbal somewhere by July. If he commits, I think Gibson is going to UT no matter what. So cross your fingers Vol fans.

The media and fans always judge things too quickly and harshly, with very little info to base it on. What if CBJ simply wants him to commit on ESPN during one of these high profile camps...to give the program more media exposure? Didn't Bates do something like this last summer?

If that is the case, here we are fussing at him for not committing sooner. If he does commit, I think the whole Ferguson departure is a sobering object lesson for him. You had best come in here with your head screwed on straight and willing to work your arse off to be the best QB you can be.

Because he is big enough of a recruit that it don't matter how he commits, word will get out, thus giving UT exposure. Everyone thinking cbj has so and so and won't let him announce, is just fantasizing

Calm down. UT is still #1 for a 5* QB. Torrance is visiting during the big "Jon Gruden" recruiting weekend & BigBallsButch is still UT's HC. Ain't Worried Bout' Nothin'.

“Auburn and Tennessee are tied right now with each other at one,” Gibson said. “They are both recruiting me the hardest.”

The U.S. Army All-American broke down what he likes about his finalists.

1. Tennessee - “I talk to coach Butch Jones a lot. I talk to the wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni a lot. I’d like to talk to the quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian more so I know his plan. I do enjoy talking to coach Zach. They have a great school and campus. They play in a great conference that I like.”

The nation’s No. 14 overall prospect regardless of position will visit Auburn this for ‘Big Cat’ weekend, starting Friday.

“I’m going with my teammates Tarvarus McFadden and Dredrick Snelson,” Gibson said. “I’m looking forward to talking to the coaches again and getting a feel again for the campus and having fun.”

In June, Gibsonn will head to Tennessee for its quarterback camp, which will feature Jon Gruden. He’ll also be at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., in July.

Gibson’s plan remains to take all of his official visits in the fall before making his decision.

“I’ll probably make my commit a week or two after my season is done,” Gibson said.

Which offensive schemes among his finalists does he feel best fit his skill set?

“Tennessee, Ohio State and Auburn,” he said.

As a junior, Gibson threw for 1,864 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 1,032 yards and 10 touchdowns leading his team to a state championship.

Maybe being this tied to whether a recruit chooses UT or Auburn would be more indicative of not being completely there???? Just sayin'?

Lol how many top recruits are we in on every year? I think we are seriously used for many reasons. Really getting tired of not finishing up and being played

We rarely get played. People are genuinely interested in UT for what it has to offer, which is a lot. You feel as if we've been getting played due to the ineptitude of our previous coaching staff from a recruiting/coaching/winning standpoint. The fact is, we're now getting a lot of those kids because at the very least, we have a great recruiting staff here.

So it seems he likes AU, OSU and UT's offensive schemes. I see a little trend there that might point to what CBJ will be implementing this year :question:

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if TG commits to Tennessee before the end of summer. Butch is gonna turn up the heat big time at the QB camp imo.

CBJ could be in a position to just about force a commitment out of him. If OSU and AU have taken other QBs as they did not want to wait, CBJ could just about tell Gibson it's now or never.

Yep. Francois and Locksley are both planning to commit in July. Auburn is hard after both but I expect Locksley to commit to AU. At that point, Butch can really turn up the heat on TG and I'll bet he gets a commitment out of him. Jmo

Would make sense. Will be interesting to see what Kai does. I can't help but think with dad at Maryland, that will be tough for him to say no.

Still appears Gibson is number 1 on our board according to our insiders. That's why he's coming to Big Cat. I think we will wait, especially since we have Queen already on board. Gibson is pure icing on the cake, and darn good icing at that.

Is there any reason why Auburn would take 3 QBs in this class? If they get Gibson there telling him he'll play QB and then move him to receiver, that would be a CATASTROPHIC mistake on Coach Malzahn's part, IMO.

Didn't take long for some ******* to call him the N word on Twitter, because of Auburn. This POS claims to be a Tennessee fan, but looking at his timeline he is nothing but a troll.

Man I wish my job was to punch people in the face who troll online. I would do it for minimum wage.
