Teblow would make a perfect H-back, but he's obviously too stubborn or prideful to admit that and take a few million annually. Can you imagine him getting the ball in the open field on a design play? He could be so dangerous.

I'd imagine it would be like playing chicken with a rhino....which Eric Berry did once and laid that rhino flat on his ass lol

I think people just can't grasp the concept that an elite dual-threat QB has UT as his leader. Therefore, OSU MUST be his leader, because why would he go anywhere else when he can play for Corch Irvin Meyers?

I think you might be right. It's also funny that many on here think he's not good enough to play QB at UT in Butch's system yet two of the best spread offense HC's in the nation want him as their QB. But maybe Malzahn and Meyer are wrong too.

Lol that's your argument?

lol, yes, facts, as opposed to your arguments which are.....? Good vibes? 40 time?

You guys sure are placing a lot of value on a great physical talent (Vick) who had a great Sugar Bowl and a lot of inconsistent games in a pretty weak football conference. He was fun to watch, but to suggest he was a better or more effective Dual Threat QB then Newton, Tebow, Young, or yes, Manziel, is funny.

Not understanding what Butch's offense consists of shows how in the dark some of our members are when it comes to the type of QB we should recruit. Butch Jones offense isn't a drop back passing attack where the QB sits in the pocket rocketing the ball down the field. Torrance Gibson would be the perfect QB to head up the read option.

Maybe so, but they may want him as an athlete first, and QB secondarily. I'm sure he'll get a good look at QB, regardless.

Sadly, all of those great hits by EB would be illegal and intentional targeting now.

My favorite part of the Bama receiver hit is that he doesn't see Berry coming until the last second and when he finally does he clearly wants none of that, but it's too late and EB absolutely spears him. Man. What a great play.

We need another bruiser like that at safety.

Look closely, none of those hits are targeting. He's leading with his shoulder not his head. A few might get flagged but they'd be overturned on review (and I believe they fixed the rule so that now you're not stuck with a penalty even if the targeting call is overturned).

Interesting. I remember someone on here saying they see Shurburtt at work sometimes and he's adamant that TG will be a buckeye.

I remember that too. Well I wanted Gibson and Lawson from the beginning. Liked Lawson a lot, when Gentry started being news I liked him, but for some reason never thought we would get him. Lawson is gone now too. I would be very happy with Jennings and Gibson myself. Always next year to seek out the big arm Pro-style guy. I hope we really do get Gibson though. If we do not get Gibson or Waller then I would take an extra lineman and start recruiting next years QB.

What you failed to take into account is their systems/playmakers compared to Vick's. Stats arent everything. If any of those QB's ran a Power-I they would have similar or worse stats. Vick's best year his passing efficiency was better than most on that list btw

That would be me....and the last I asked him, he seemed quite sure. But nobody knows everything. If I run into him I'll ask about this for sure.

I just saw a new video on BR where Schuburtt was asked where the DT QBs were going to lead and he said the Vols were the team to beat right now and he said AU and OSU are might be looking elsewhere.
