From AU Rivals -

"My best hunch on Gibson is that Ohio State is current leader. I think Tennessee is 2nd and Auburn is probably third. I think Auburn has more work to do with McFadden but getting him up for the spring game was big. I'd say FSU is probably team to beat for him. Auburn wants both to come up for Big Cat. Not definite they're coming yet but it's a good sign their teammate is coming.

As far as QB recruiting goes, Auburn doesn't have to take a 2nd one in this class, but would definitely take Gibson or Kai Locksley."

If Gibson says Tennessee is leading, then I believe Tennessee is leading. Why would a Tennessee fan post on here that he is a lier?

It wasn't SCtiger posting it. He was quoting from the Aubrun Rivals message board. SCs a solid poster. If you feel anyone is being inaccurate it's the analysts on the Auburn Rivals message board.

This. SC is just providing pertinent info from his board. He's one of the best rival posters on here.

i bet fergie and dobbs had you saying this same thing when they committed.

Would be funny if I did, but I didn't. :)

I got on the Fergie train after a VFL coach friend watched him in practice last season. I like Dobbs and glad they got him. But both of them are developmental guys without the huge talent upside of TG. I hoped that both would fuel enough competition to resolve the QB of the future issue. Until then I wanted Worley to improve and keep the job.

If Butch does not pull the great class he did last season there is no TG in the picture. We would not even be on his radar. If they get him your screen name becomes a reality faster IMO.

after reading the update it seems that osu it's still way out front here.

Only way Gibson does not end up at osu IMO is if they don't wait around for Gibson to announce and decide to try and take Waller instead. Meyer may be in a position to tell Torrance it's now or never.

I just hate that I actually believed that we lead. After reading the recruiting update it seems the writing is literally on the wall so to speak. "I'm going to tOSU just need to visit first".

Sorry, but he doesnt compare to Kaep at all... Maybe athletically, but that's about it

Closer to Pat White IMO.. I'm interested to see how this plays out.. He says UT, but everyone else says tOSU.. Nothing will surprise me in this recruitment...

If you really want to strike a nerve, Tebow. Whether you want to want to admit it the kid is a winner and won multiple NC's

If you want to say he was one of the most physically talented dual threat QB's ever, I'll give you that. He was one of the fastest players I've ever seen take a snap, but besides the occasional jaw dropping scramble, he was a pretty inconsistent player.

Umm, no. Cam Newton might have something to say about that, among others.

If I am ranking collegiate DT-QB's, I am going:

Vick
Young
Newton
Tebow

Newton was in the perfect offense to display his skills. Vick was just a freak in a pro-style offense that single-handedly took his team to the BCSCG and almost beat a very good FSU team by himself.
