Well I mean sure but that goes for every recruit ever. There are really no guarantees in recruiting at all. DGB is out of Mizzou for example.

QB is hardest to project, I agree.

Jimmy clausen too. He was called "the Lebron James of high school football." The media was saying he had the talent to skip college and go straight to the nfl. How many did he win? Where is he playing now? Dual threat qb's are great in college football b/c the 80% of football players that don't go on to the nfl are prone to make mistakes or are not fast/athletic enough to stop a good dual threat QB. Heck, Peyton didn't get a natty, but the dual threat QB that followed him did, with essentially the same team. Blasphemy, I know, but it's a valid point.

Honestly this is the guy I've wanted for awhile now. Gentry seemed like he was going cold and the Texas offer must have been big for him. I think that if we can get TG, due to their friendships, he brings DeBerry, Rico, Cam Ordway, Richmond, Settle, Phillips, etc. along with him. Not sure Gentry could do the same. TG has the opportunity to headline an INSANE class. Go vols.

TG is a program changer.You have to realize when you have a young Qb who can do what this guy is capable of he will bring in other talented recruits on the offense just to play with him, like Johnny Football. I believe that he will also be a Robert Nkemdiche factor. When he comes people who may not have considered us before will now.With Hurd,Malone,Croom, and Preston Williams we will have a top offense in the SEC.If we get improvement on our lines and all together on D i think 2016 could be a 98 year.

I sure love the sound of it! I'm ready for a '98 year again. I'd just be tickled pink with an 8-10 win season at this point.

I swear that last week there were folks on here talking about us taking Jennings, Gentry AND Gibson.

Now Gentry goes to Texas and the smart thing is to just pack it up? I don't think so, Scooter.

You've made a lot of dumb posts recently, but you do raise a good point here. We have solid young talent at QB, so there's no need to panic and settle for a warm body at the position this year just because we didn't get one last year.

With that said, Torrance Gibson is an elite, program-changing prospect with the ability to attract other elite talent to chase a championship. I hope Coach Jones can stay disciplined and wait as long as it takes to get his commitment. If this means telling other 2015 QB prospects to wait, so be it. As you said, the worst case scenario is keeping Jennings at QB and rolling with Dobbs and/or Ferguson for the next few seasons. I actually think that's preferable to signing a random 3-star QB who would probably get recruited over next year anyway.

I'm right there with ya sir. Its over do for our program at this point,championships are great but I'd sure love a bowl win or just beat the gators aha
