Being interviewed on TSR right now

It was a good interview.

Humble, Said not putting UT first because of twitter even though he knows some think that.

Definitely wants to be a QB only.

Also said parents told him to pick a school where he is most comfortable even out of state.

He likes the offense we're running. Knows about our great receivers and running back.

Wants for sure to wait until after his season to commit.

The boldes part worries me a little bit

Can't put all of your eggs in one basket, either one could flop on us last minute. Or both. The safest bet is to push for both, obviously.

If Jennings were not already onboard, I would agree. IF the staff really wanted to show say Gentry he was their "other" guy and went all in to get him and missed, it would not be as big a deal. Having 1 QB already committed gives the staff more room to take a risk IF they wanted to do so.

I'll be interested to see how the coaches recruit him and how high we stay on his board if we get Gentry. Gentry seems like he will deff shut it down once he commits, so do we want to risk losing him by continuing to recruit this guy? I guess we will see who is really #1 on our board.

Nice position to be in isn't it.

So you're saying we can afford to gamble on Gibson because we already have Jennings. I love it. Let it ride!

I literally couldn't care less which of the two we get as long as we get one of the two. I think both have the skill sets to be big time. I have concerns about both, but I think both will be great college QBs

Listened to the Gibson interview on TSR. Then I checked out some of his highlights. I am all in! In our system and with the receivers and RBs we are getting...Gibson could dominate. Definitely give Saban a headache.

This really is how I feel about it too.. As long as we get one of the two, I'm good.

I watched some interviews of TG last night, one from an osu site, and I came away even more impressed with TG.. Super smart and determined kid.. I love how he says that there is no one in the country that will out work him and that he will do anything to keep improving as a qb..

I can't wait to see how he's developed so far this upcoming season..

What did he say in the interview?

He seems to be a humble and respectful kid. An unselfish player based on the interview and highlights. Said he fits in well with the offense. Understands what he would be coming into with Tennessee. Said that he knows a lot of TN fans follw him on Twitter, but that was not the reason he puts us on top of the list. Loves the coaches, and seemed to be excited to get out of state. Both parents are in for him leaving FL if it is best for him. He'll be on Swain later today. I want to listen to that one too.

I wanna see Gibson this season improve and make more throws, and I'd like to see Gentry at some camps against other elite QBs to get a better gauge of him.

What do you guys think happens if Gentry commits before Gibson? Does Gibson go elsewhere? I think so, but I could be wrong.

Gibson has said that he isn't scared by competition and it should always be the best man win wherever he goes, and that he's expecting it. It's kinda generic qb talk, but he did say it.

With him waiting so long to commit, he's not gonna find many places without a qb already in the class.

The thing that pisses me off about the people critizing Gibson for being arrogant because of his Twitter activity is the fact that they've never actually heard him speak. Gibson sounds like a great kid and a natural leader.

I wonder why gentry doesn't do more camps and things. With him being from NM, u would think that camps would be a great way to get exposure.

Yeah u can tell who has heard/seen him interview and who hasn't.. I guess some fans are so bruised from previous targets, they group him in the same category because he's a highly rated qb that enjoys twitter and has UT on top.

Could be a financial thing. NM is in the middle of nowhere and it costs a bunch of money to go anywhere.

Here you go.

And no, the info we have points to Gentry. He's been stated by VQ and Scout multiple times he's #1

So your evidence that Gentry is the # 1 QB target is speculation from the same people who pegged Riley Ferguson as the next John Elway? How about the following:

- UT offered Gentry a scholarship on Dec. 12, 2013; UT offered Gibson a scholarship "several months" earlier.

- "[Mike Bajakian] just said I’m the only quarterback he recruits until I tell him otherwise.” - Torrance Gibson, Dec. 13, 2013

- "At Tennessee, Gibson has been told by the coaching staff that the reason they didn’t take a quarterback in their huge 2014 class is because they want Gibson first and foremost in 2015." - Saturday Down South, Feb. 24

- "They told me they didn't take a quarterback in the last class and I was surprised because every college takes a quarterback and they said they were waiting on me. A lot of coaches don't say that, they always take quarterbacks and so I was surprised they didn't. That's a big opportunity for me and for me to work my way to a starting position... (Jones) was just telling me how I’d fit in the offense and just telling me, ‘If you need time, just take your time. We’re not rushing you or anything like that.’ They’re just waiting on me." - Torrance Gibson, March 27

- "They talk to me every day. Coach Butch Jones is a great coach. They talk to me every hour (of) every day. And it's not just their fans. Coach Jones has a great staff around him. They have a great campus and academics. They didn't take a quarterback last cycle and definitely need a quarterback. Coach Jones is getting the top recruits right now. The reason why they are number one for me right now is because they stay in touch with me the most." - Torrance Gibson, May 5

- Gibson is the # 8 overall prospect (#1 ATH) in ESPN's top 300; Gentry is # 72 overall prospect (# 6 QB).

Taking all of the above into consideration, I think Gibson's the top target at QB.

Yeah same here. He never says anything out of the way on twitter he's just active on twitter that's apart of our generation. Some how a player who isn't on twitter is a better leader in some folks mind. The kid is good and I hope he wears Orange, White, and Smokey Gray.

How can you provide this information without providing the information reported on Gentry? It's clearly biased
